Default Car Sales

so...your thinking of applying to the 500 open positions in Car Sales? Ask yourself, why are there always positions open to MTs with company cars? What is wrong with such a "great" job?
1. Management- never been in rental and all over the place as far as lack of ability.
2. pay- dont let them lie to you!
3. you work EVERY Saturday. no excepetions.

1. Within our Car Sales Management, everyone of them went through rental. And with the exception of 2 Assistant Managers, they have all been with ERAC for 6+ years.

2. As far as pay is concerned.... In January, I just hit my 1 year Annniversary as an AE. W2 for 06' showed right at $59,700. And I really didnt put forth all that much effort. Pretty much showed up, and did what I was supposed to do, and hit my 120 car bonus. That is not the end all, greatest paycheck of the year...but its alot better than the $28,000 i was going to make as a MT. Not bad from a guy that has no degree, and is just hanging out, until greener pastuers come calling.

3. As far as Saturdays... I'm not sure if its just how the schedule has worked out for me, but its pretty much been every other Saturday for a while now. I have just scheduled my days off for the weekends. Its never been a problem. And If there arent any appointments, and its dead...Management isnt opposed to letting us go home, around 1 or 2.

Sounds like you need a new group manager, if your attitude is that sour about things.

I work in group 09 and talked to a few people in car sales and they are averaging 50-60k and every Saturday. There are some managers that did not work in rental but have been with erac over 5 years.

If it's so great, why is the turnover so freaking high? Look at what they hire-Steven Tunhurst?
