If you make it to RRM you may have to leave your group and then you cannot guarantee that you are fully staffed and making bank. Positions open when people get promoted but also when people underperform and if you replace one of the latter people all bets are off. My old GM was promoted to GM after reaching out for 7 others spots and he finally got promoted, it took longer then 2 years for 8 GM spots to open up. Keep buying real estate if you want to retire early. fuck erac. |

| We will never go Public... No need. Companies go public to raise $$. We make enough $$ and we have the best credit rating in the industry. ERAC is the best company in the world. Living the high life and making bank. I hope you all are as happy as me. Good luck |

Buddy, let me give you a little hint. Every month you see the "Top Dogs" at ERAC calling it a career. These are the folks that are making $900,000+. Those are the roles that you aspire to be in. That is your motivation, the big pay out. Who wouldn't want it. But, now look at the people that are replacing them, what are they getting paid? I saw my RVP who was making 10% of the region(approx $700,000 to $850,000) retire and he was replaced by someone who is now making 2.5%. The Taylors, and god bless them because they are smart, sell everyone that all of the money they make goes back into the company. Reinvesting in their people! So, why are they paying the replacements so much less. Why when I was an MT they paid my ARMS $125K+ and now they pay them $80-$100K and they do ten times the work. That big payout is no longer there. I am an ARM and my RVP works 7:30am to 6:30pm M-F and Saturdays 9am to 12pm. They all do. Work life balance is a joke. There is more to life. Watch your kids grow, coach their teams and don't waste more time looking for the payout that no longer exists. I know that I am out and I made $100K last year. But the stress and hours are just not worth it........... |

See http://www.tatetrustlaw.com/federal_estate_tax.htm I hope Jack lives a long and healthy life in the company of his friends and family, but unless Congress changes the law, the year 2010 is the "sweet spot" to die in. Sorry for the sentiment here, but I'm not saying anything that a dozen Taylor family accountants haven't already talked about. By the way, this does help to put some timing issues into perspective. 2010 is only 38 months away. This explains why I've been hearing rumors of Enterprise doing various things to groom the company's structure and finances in anticipation of a possible IPO or spin-off. This will be a big event for them. We'll make sure it's a big event for us here, too. __________________ "Don't worry about what anybody else is going to do. | Look. Every company has pros and cons. I have worked for ERAC in the south and the north and I can tell you that it is completely different every where you go. Pay is also different everywhere you go. I think you need to decide for yourself what your looking for. Are you looking to get some good entry level experience? Are you looking long term? Yea, you don't make a ton of money, but you will gain a lot of valuable transferable skill sets through the trainee program. You are going to work your ass off, but you are also going to get a lot of really good experience, and meet a lot of wonderful people. It's what you make of it. There are many facets of the business that you can go into, it only takes your initative to move up and stand out. I defintely think ERAC has a lot of room for improvement, but I am happy that I decided to work for the company because along with the bad came a lot of good. |

| There are just a few things to think about before working for enterprise. Are you willing to put 200% into everyday? Are you willing to do what management says, regardless what you feel is right or wrong? Are you ready to work 52 hrs for 30k? If so, go for it. I have worked for this company 4 yrs now and 2 1/2 yrs were spent as an intern. I have seen the best of enterprise and the worst. When enterprise is at it's best, there is no better place to be. When I say "at it's best", I mean your manager is someone who is worthy of there position. The team in your office is what makes you get up in the morning. Because of the atmosphere your preformance is above everyone else. When enterprise is at it's worst you would rather be doing a job that is on the "dirty jobs" TV show. That is how bad it can get sometimes, but there is room for advancment and when you get to manager level it is up to you to make your bussiness the way you want it to be. Through all the horrible managers that I have had, and the absolutely horrible things that made me do, I saw the type of manager I wanted to be. I knew I did not want to do what they did to there employees and customers, that is what drove me to still be with this company. There is no doubt that there are many negitive aspects of this company but you can change these aspect and be successful if you have the drive and proper guidance. Think long and hard before taking this job! |
