Default Best and Worst Managers of GP15

I suppose we should operationalize our definitions. In order to be considering one of the best managers, the individual should not be afraid to get in the trenches with fellow employees and be willing to write up contracts, wash cars, and occasionally do a drop off or pickup. The individual will also be an excellent trainer and motivator to current employees and lead by example rather than by speech. This individual will be one who is considered trustworthy and would not do anything to deliberately scam his/her customers. (The latter is almost impossible to accomplish at ERAC when reservations are made with no cars and when DUB is sold, so take this with grain of salt.) The individual will go above and beyond to make sure customers and employees are happy without giving everything away or being a push over. In short, the individual will not be afraid to put a customer in his/her place when the situation warrants it. Finally, the individual knows HOW to manage people!
In order to be considered for the worst manager position, the individual will do the opposite of what the best managers would do. These individuals are those who talk more than listen, fail to train new employees, go “marketing” all day, are unwilling to come out of their offices to help, know nothing about managing people, are more concerned with profit than employee happiness, do not lead by example, bleed green all the time, and remind us more of used car salesmen than managers of offices, regions and groups. In short, these are people you can’t stand being in the same room with let alone working under. We know a lot of UPPER management can fall under this category, but there must be some good ones left in Group 15, right?

Hey Erik... u dont work at Enterprise anymore. how bout u stop posting shit and get a life or a new fuckin job. I mean I know people dont like workin at Enterprise, but the fact u keep posting on this site after u quit makes u a loser. Besides the fact u are very short and have the physical attributes of a 11 year old asian girl, u are probably as threatening as a lady bug that has downsyndrome. If i see you on the streets, i will not only kick ur ass, but ask ur mother why she didnt have an abortion when the doctor told her that the chances of having a reatrded child were 99.99% possible. Looks like the odds werent on her side. I take back the sweet nickename i gave u of "cool E' and now replace it with "primeminister douchebag." If i was contucting ur interview for ur new job, the questions would probably go like this....
1. If you were confronted with a situatuion regarding customer service, how would u go about dealing with ur horrible shortness and lack of male hormones.
2. What is the reason for leaving your previous employeer and where do they keep all the gayness that u left there and intoxicated the company with.
3. What roles do you see urself filling in our company and clarify what degree of retardation you currently see urself at.
a. mild
b. moderate
c. severe
e. extreme

this erik kid may, indeed, be a tool. God knows that ERAC employees a large majority of them. with that being said, this "Erikfrom27isgay" poster is most likely a deuchebag as well. From now on i will refer to you as Donny D-Bag. Donny, let me guess... you are fresh out of college and if i am correct you were involved in a fraternity. im guessing that you were not the biggest dork in the fraternity but you were clearly not anywhere near the top of the popularity chain. i bet all the cool kids that were in your fraternity that you so desperately wanted to be like knew your name and gave you the "whats up, Donny?" head check when they saw you. then they went home and made fun of you. so now you are looking around for the smallest kid to pick on to make yourself feel cooler. im guessing this kid was Erik.
here is the thing, dickless wonder, you have been with ERAC for somewhere between 3-6 months. you probably got an awesome 6 month review from your manager because you are quick to answer the phone, dress appropriately and converse well with customers. thats because you can put up with all the shit bags that rent from ERAC for about taht long. i bet when a call comes in that someone needs to be picked up at the body shop you jump up from your half way completed callbacks and in your squeky kiss-ass voice say something like "im on it, boss!" and your boss is so grateful. you know why? not because you are a valued part of the team... its because you are a deuchebag who still thinks your job is important. He knows taht he doesnt want to do it and most likely all the people you work with have already figured out how shitty your job is and they dont want to do it. so your enthusiasm is both helpful and comical to them. let me go on, im guessing that your area manager has been dropping hints that "if you keep up your good work, you may be lucky enough to line yourself up for a spot at the airport!" by now, im sure you have even managed to make it to one of the two happy hours you have had in your tenure there and probably ended up hooking up with the "hot chick" from 15-anybranch that nobody outside of enterprise would even give a 2nd look at. by now you have probably noticed that all those fast food lunches are starting to take a toll on your general health as well. is any of this striking close to home? i can go on and on but i will leave it at that for now.
in closing, i quit enterprise a year ago and i still come on here to read this stuff because it is comical. and at my new job when i get down about something, i come on here to remind myself of where i came from. so if you would like you can threaten to kick my ass as well when you see me, because i could use another good laugh. do me a favor, in a couple months when you realize how shitty your job is and all the promotions and movement that they promised you in that back room at O'hare during training was all a farce, post an apology to erik from 27. and finally, just to add insult to injury, i wrote this to you after my hour and a half lunch where i went to the gym, after i watched an episode of south park online and just before i decided i was leaving work early today to beat traffic. have you ever done anything remotely close to any of that at ERAC? you know what, dont worry, i know the answer.

First of all, I was not even going to respond to this idiocracy because I am pretty sure who it was that wrote this. However, since Region D has now completely tanked, and this person probably has quit or been fired, I am posting a rebuttal.
To start things off, I would like to point out the grammatical errors that litter this post. You even spelled "retarded" wrong amongst many other simple words. Now I understand you don't have much time to proofread your work because Mrs. Carter needs that Aveo clean and ready to go by 3:00PM, but writing like that makes YOU look like the one with the mental deficiency. Of course, continuing to work at ERAC not only exacerbates this (makes things worse), but also shows that you are just what they want in their workforce – the non thinking “Yes Man” if you will. I will give you credit for pointing out the fact that I continue to post on this site after being gone for quite some time now. There are really two reasons for this. For one, I never got the exit interview I was promised, so this is my way of venting and educating others about working for this company. Second, and most importantly, this site is entertaining not only to me but my co-workers as well. Yes, I got a new job lined up BEFORE I left Enterprise, and guess what? It pays more money and is a 40 hour work week. The extra hours I have are spent with my significant other, family, friends, running and at the gym where I am at now at 6% body fat while weighing more than I did at ERAC. This not only helps differentiate me from the typical ERAC worker but also will enable me to do my other new job well, which starts very soon. It involves in many cases running after and “picking up” the typical ERAC customer. I will give you a call if I have to impound any of your cars, and I will do my best to get it back to you, so the branch doesn’t sit too heavy. In fact, I’ll even give the customer a free upgrade to a full size Ford Crown Victoria.

Thanks for actually answering the thread how it was originally intended instead of trying to insult members of the board while at the same time inadvertantly showing how stupid you are.

I actually liked most of the branch managers in my area as well as many of the assistants. Granted not all of them were great managers but were generally good people stuck in a bad situation. Most are gone by now anyway. ERAC never manages to keep the good ones as they eventaully become wise to whole scheme of promotion. It's the ones who either tough it out or are dumb enough to stay around rise to the top, which usually is at the highest level an Area Manager. Of course, tons of ass kissing and fake enthusiasm for the company helps too.
