I think it started to go downhill when ELM left. He was a good guy, some of the others like JD were just didn't have the skill set to be in that position. Glad you got out and I wish you luck in the future.

It is possible that we may be talking about two different individuals. I have been away from Erac for a few years and perhaps there has been some changes. JD was always in shape from what I remember. He just had a problem with DUI's, of course he is in the loop, so he just left for a while and then came back. Unbeleivable.

Sorry for the misunderstading. It has been two years since I have been there. I didn't have much interaction with 16UU. Is TH still running XX,....like he'll ever leave, or get promoted for that matter. Why would he? Raking in the money he is for doing pretty much nothing!>

The legendary 1612, I worked there too with the old guys in 98/99, James Taylor (quit in 04), John Colquitt or Callahan. High class to be next to a Hooters.

I don't know how someone like P.F. would hire someone with a lack of business ethics like T.L.

This company is structured on lies and manipulation and its incredible how much better life is once you are out in the real world. I still have a few friends that work for Enterprise and apparently its getting worse. I guess they have this new marketing plan which requires the managers to spend an ungodly amount of time marketing and taking accounts out for lunch each month. This might look good on paper, but it seems like the people up in the ivory tower forget about all the chaos that goes on in the branches even when the office is fully staffed. I guess that's why group 16's retention is going down the toilet. Last I heard, one of T.L.'s areas lost like 4 or 5 people in one month. Thats a lot of people leaving a total of three branches.

I guess my advice is: If you are looking, stay focused on finding a new job and if you are miserable start looking!! This job will eat you up and spit you out if you let it, so don't fall prey to corporate's lies and manipulation.
Their doing this new marketing approach, because they lost a bunch of corporate accounts back in October. Several dealerships and service shops bailed on them in the Montgomery County area, because service is in decline and there is a new rental car company on the block called Reliable Rent-A-Car. Along with a slew of services Reliable offers, they not only pick customers up, but their signature service is car delivery within a 20 mile radius. Corporate customers get a larger mile radius for delivery, and rates are more competitive. How do I know? It all happened just before I found a new job and quit the company. I was laughing my way out of the company. It will teach them a well deserved lesson.

TH was a good guy in my mind its too bad I did not interact much with him. S.C (XX Area manger) was an awsome BM at 17. That's about all the people I cared for. JD (XX RRM) can go to hell.

I have worked for Erac for 5 1/2 years and finally quit. I have never been so happy in my entire life! Upper management only cares about their own pockets. I was at a meeting were T.H. RVP of XX was there and thanked everyone for his wife's new furniture. In the meantime I am busting my ass just trying to pay for my everyday bills.
ERAC is nothing but a drunk fest. You only get moved up if you have had 2 or more DUI's.
God forbid if you don't "Bleed Green!" So sorry if I like to think for myself. Upper management treats you like you are stupid and not worth the scum on the bottom of their shoe. If you don't sell you aren't important. Last I was aware they shit just like the rest of us. They aren't any better human beings then we are.
I ended up in a dept were if you can't make it in rental, you go there. So I loved being classified as a reject.
