Here are the top 10 apparent ways to get promoted in 16VV:

1.)When selling CDW, tell first-time renters that their insurance companies never cover the rental vehicle.
2.)For dealership rentals, leave full boat on even though the customer declined it, close the ticket out yourself, and make your MT's work the AR's the following month.
3.)Send your MT's out to pickup a customer who will never take CDW while you wait in the branch for the customer that's coming in in five minutes who always takes full boat.
4.)Never ever close your tickets out before 2pm.
5.)Towards the end of the month, take coverage off of and close open contracts of people who are ahead of you on the matrix.
6.)If you think the customer will give you a bad ESQi call, change their phone numbers on the ticket before you close them out.
7.)If you are the assistant manager in your branch in charge of auditing tickets be sure you always source your misses to your area manager.
8.)On Monday mornings, be sure you always trade off your cars with the most undocumented damage to the busiest, most desperate branch in your area (especially if they have a few new MTs).

You forgot the real #1 way to get promoted: Make sure you are your area manager, branch manager, and RVP fourth in a golf outing!!

It sounds like you have it all figured out. Seems to me, you are a career MT, aware of all the shortcuts and shady ways to make yourself look better. A list like this could not come from a new person nor would anyone who has been successfull even worry about it. If I were you, I would quit now and look for a admin job somewhere.

You people f'ing baffle me. I am assuming that everyone posting these great ways to get promoted, never actually got promoted in VV. Here is an idea, admit that you were not that good and the better person actually got the position.

Just keep surfing the web in your new IT or desk job position. You are a loser! You look belittle and downgrade the good fortunes of those who work their ass off to get promoted. You couldn't hack it so I guess it is just unfair the way Enterprise promotes people. Im sure you are the best qualified person!
