| I work in 17DD I heard a coworker say this today: "I wonder why customers have been so angry lately..." ::flare of trumpets:: I'll tell you why For whatever reason, DD is sitting so tight, it is almost impossible to reasonably guarantee a customer a car. This summer has been nothing but 'free upgrades' (sure, a 15P is technically a minivan...) 'free rides to other branches' (The branch is just usually 30 minutes up the road... but it's rush hour... and there's a construction zone...) and 'angry wrongfully-delayed customers'--- NOT due to the fact of poor planning on the part of branches and their managers, trust me, they're fighting the good fight, but by the constant mantra from upper management to: 'book it book it book it' and 'sit tight.' and the rampant 'deletion' of the fleet It has led to a new atmosphere in which branches are not, and DO NOT HAVE the ability to trade/share/help-out/etc., because there's not enough cars in the region. You can't get cars, and you definiately can't guarantee cars, unless you miracously get a return. In this new era of region 17DD, the words of the day/week/month are: "TENATIVE RESERVATION." Obviously, there's a fine line between 'sitting tight' and 'having enough cars for your customers,' and obviously, deleting cars leads to nice returns, but anyone in 17DD that 'runs their fleet' right now knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about, and any cheesy gung-ho troop-rousing cliches just aren't having the same effect on employee morale anymore (if they ever did). *****A bunch of branches got smashed by esqi drops this time around, I wonder why.***** |

| I agree with the first post. HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY MAKE SOMEONE HAPPY and COMPLETELY SATISFIED if the cars are NOT THERE to meet the reservations. I don't know about THAT person's branch/area, but in my area, if we were to book reservations on the availability of cars in the region, we would NOT BE BOOKING RESERVATIONS. **NOTE: To any potential future ERAC'ers, the above response that states that ESQI is solely the fault of the branch's employees is a solid indicator of how this company passes the buck. Write me and my employees up for poor esqi performance because my customers are unhappy due to the fact that there aren't any cars available, because we can't meet the demand of our bodyshops, dealerships, and insurance customers on top of the normal reservations? That sounds like area manager jive to me. Honestly, the first person that replied to this post just strengthened it's position. |

She is a people person and very cool under pressure when I knew her. It's a shame that something happened to make someone think poorly of her. I always liked her. __________________ "Never trust a big butt & a smile"... Bell Biv Devoe |

| Currently, I am A 17AA employee. I work for one of the most corrupt regions in the company. Area X was wiped away after an area manager was fired. So the company that promotes themselves as giving promotions to people that deserve it...decided to do away with area X...which in turn got rid of an area mgr. position. Why did they do this??? The answer is the same as almost any other answer dealing with cost: TO SAVE MONEY!!! Why would they be trying to save money??? Oh thats right...i forgot: AA IS CHEAP WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR EMPLOYEES!!! We can provide pens, paper, jackets, happy hours, and tee-times to our referrals...so we can keep sucking their dicks even harder than before. This way we almost 100% sure we're getting 100% of their business. But try asking your manager to pay for rock salt to get the ice off the pavement...or a new hose that has been leaking since 2001. Or try asking for rewards for outstanding performance(other than a happy hour after work or the best of the best dinner). Dont work me like a dog for 10 hours a day and tell me I have to go to some stupid dinner after hours. There is one office that cant even turn on the heat in the breakroom because it's broken. FIX IT!!!!! IT'S NOT THAT HARD!!!!!! I have a life outside of Enterprise...i would like to be somewhat conscious during those hours. AA spends most of it's money in all the wrong places. They are starting to complain about how many offices are not pulling in the OP right now...about negative fleet growth...about days earned killing their profit. It's so obvious why so many offices are failing now compared to 2 years ago. There are too many offices right next to each other. We can't get fleet growth if a new office opens up 5 minutes down the road and pulls close to 30 cars from neighboring branches. But that's our fault We are suppoose to go out and find new business. I'll tell you what i'm gonna do. I'm gonna go on baltimore pike, rt. 202, i-95, Lancaster ave, rt 4, rt 2, i-495 and 476...and create accidents. I'm almost sure that a few of those people comming in need a corporate account for when they travel! ---------> NOT! 17AA: You better start treating us like gold instead of dogshit. We are not robots. We are sick and tired of being overworked, and being underpaid. That's why people quit Enterprise. We also quit because we finally realize that this company SUCKS! I will not lower my ethical standards to appease to anybody. I will not kiss ass to an area manager, rrm (sorry......rrm dosen't deserved to be capatalized) or any higher-ups. I do not fit the mold of a 17AA employee. I am suppose to be a bleeding green whore who only looks to rape and pounce on others so i can climb to the top of the pyramid. And in the process, i am suppose to shove your dick in my mouth and ask you if you need a napkin to wipe it off when you are finished. If you are not in the "click"...you are thrown out. I'm sorry that I can't work for a company that sees me as being a nusance vs. an asset. I'm not the only one to think this. AA's retention is going down. |
