More stupid 17dd moves.

The assisstant manager and only real employee of 17d6 quit. One of the main reasons was they would not promote him to a manager even though he did all the manager duties (jvs', ars, marketing, etc).

Well, wouldn't you know the ass area manager (Chris, I mean you) just posted his open position on ecars and requested a MANAGER not an AM to fill the spot. How unfair and mentally challenged was this move.

We ALL know that the asst mgr is the one that runs the office and the manager is SUPPOSED to be marketing to grow the business. Reality, the manager LOVES to hang out in the office and either help the matter or contradict everything the asst mgr does in a show of control. Funny that the manager has nothing to say when he comes back after hitting the back 9 with the Area Manager and everything is under control.

I too have been an assistant manager and yes it can suck but I would rather run the branch my way but yes even the assistant managers get screwed.

In my old group someone was promoted to a level 2 (non-rental) position and a year later told that there is no place for you anymore so you may want to think about going back into rental. No matter who you are you are not safe unless you are a 3 or a 4.
