Your spot on about the fact that Salisbury hasnt grown its just shifted. I guess all the scum followed Hunger down from cambridge. Talk about SHADY. Its a good thing Hunger got to where he was while KC had his coke problem. He would have been fired long before his transistion to 1865.
You are also spot on about there being nothing but interns and managers. I dont know what they are going to do with 1834/A1. They will probably have PASS work down there. I would love to see his ass down there toting cars to Cape Charles hahahaha.

"if someone is offering you a $100 bill are you going to take it?" hahaha. Go get it Pass!! : )

I dont think anyone here is trying to say what tom did was ok. He was shady, he worked the system and he got caught, but i worked with tom before and he gave his ass for this company. He was a true Echimp. He slaved his ass off for the company, volunteered to go to 1834 and as I recall posted a 90 ESQI the day he got fired.
What I am trying to say is this; where was the write up? Where was the demotion? Tom deserved every bit of that.
Another example of why Jason is a spitting of example of what NOT to do. Cmon Pass. Go to bat for the kid. He has to go to bat for every manager at 1816 for as bad as there fucking up. Well I'm done ranting. Tommorow is another beautiful day at Enterpirse.
They fired him without given written warning?...It seems there is more to the story.

Yeah, they fired him without so much as a heads up. Pass left him out to hang and he should be ashamed of himself. I hope you read this Pass. I work with him also, he talks out of both sides of his mouth. someone said he dumps on 1816 and Erin? 1816 deserves it. She got fat and happy and lazy and now she is paying for it. what ever happened to Kahlid? Who the hell wanted Erin over him? Should have fired her and moved tom or david there.

written warning? are you a moron? if you are the president of m&t bank and one of your branch managers is caught 20 plus times purposely defruading customers are you going to issue a written warning.

tommy was a good guy, but he got too caught up in the waiver brainwash and too many full boaters for $3 each. he was at 1834 for christ sake. how many people get promoted to a store that you're guaranteed to fail at?

i love all the talk about shady people. this whole company is one giant shady operation. maybe that's why the shady get promoted? there are so many different rules for different situations. different rules apply to different people. every branch has their 'regulars' who don't come close to qualifying to rent.

is it shady to push and push and twist people into spending a lot of money on products they don't need. what about pass's famous phantom upsells. or booking every deal when we know there's no chance these people are actually going to get a minivan tomorrow.

that comes from the top because they count the money and the poor schmucks on the counter have to deal with the shit. but you gotta overbook to make sure you sit tight.

STEVE-O FOR THE NEXT ARM !!!!

sincerely,

Enterprise Rent-A-Car's business operations are quite different from a bank's, my friend.

Are you sure you don't know the meaning of an analogy? I'll try and clarify the sentence for you:

---When you get to a set of parenthesis, choose one of the three.

"if you are the (president/regional manager/king) of (m&t bank/walmart/abu dhabi) and one of your (branch managers/store managers/city councilmen) is caught 20 plus times purposely defruading customers are you going to issue a written warning."

Literal (adj) - in accordance with, involving, or being the primary or strict meaning of the word or words

Figurative (adj) - of the nature of or involving a figure of speech, esp. a metaphor; metaphorical

Wow, the original poster was using a metaphor to exhibit the likeness of the situation between shady dealings in one line of work as compared to another in a totally different field? I GET IT. GOLLY GEE.

I find all of this fascinating. Let's just break it down. Cut out the bullshit. Fact of the matter is all of these people in and of themselves are good people. Tom got busted. Word around town from yesterday was that he got busted for ALOT of things. Furthermore, it was from James G. and Jeff A. to Jason P. that he was to be fired. From what my manager heard Jason P. was going to write Tommy up. It came from above his head to fire him. I think all of you in Failing Enterprise-Land like to jump the gun for the sake of gossip you cannot substantiate. And by the way COWARD..... ETHICS IS ETHICS; VALUES ARE VALUES. Doesn't seem to me it would matter in what type of business you are practicing.

Well, well, well. This is Joe Leimbach. I worked for the company twice. I started at 1811 in Aberdeen, MD. I transfered to 1823. I then quit and went to work for various different companies. I then came back to Enterprise, starting in 1834. Moved to 1816, moved to 1865 and end up back in 1834. I worked with Scott Brown, Dave Beauchamp, and Ricky Stoakley. I worked total time for the company of 6 1/2 years. I really thought that Enterprise was going to be my retirment career. Didn't work out that way. 1834 is a hole...a very deep dark forgotten hole. Sure, i was not the best employee. I sold shady waiver, ghost upsells, full boat for 13.99...I did it all. I never got caught, thankfully. I also tried to make my numbers legit. I was one of those whiners you all like to talk about. As opposed to not being able to hack it, I got tried of the bullshit and moved on. I greatly disliked jason Passarell as a manager. I don't think he is a morally bad person. his job required him to be a slimeball. Enterprise requires all their emloyees to be slimeballs. Most everyone I have worked for and with I truly liked and cared for. I have nothing bad to say about ANYONE CURRENTLY WORKING FOR 18E. I think Jason could have done alot of things different, but he choose not to, in order to avoid a confortation. Whatever. I think that Enterprise does one thing really well. That one thing is to train people and show them what the real world, CAN, be like. Long miserable hours, rude ignorant customers. Uncaring upper management, unless you screw up. Whatever. What i do know is that I am now working for a great company. As for my little brother. he played the game good. Apparently too good. he got caught, let it go. he has a great career elsewhere. Jason and arney and gibeau screwed him. they made an example of him, and made sure it would be very difficult for him to get a job elsewhere. oh well. as for the rest of the managers I worked with, they all moved on to great careers and i keep in touch with them all. they are all happy they left enterprise and moved on to more promising careers. enterprise across the bridge is a great place. here on the shore it sucks. I have worked at both, so i can speak with some authority on that matter. the employee moral on the shore sucks. maybe getting rid of pass will help. i doubt it. why do the upper managers only come down here when shit is really bad? why do you not hear from arney and james unless your in trouble? why does kc never make it to the shore? they don't care about it. i forsee 1834 being shut down and the whole 18e region being absorbed into the annapolis area. until the upper managers start to care, and i mean REALLY CARE ABOUT 18E EMPLOYEES, nothing will change. that my rant, and I will not come back to this website. I have shaken eprise dust off my boots, and look forward to a lifelong career with my current caring employer. It is amazing how much my attitude has changed since i started working here. i actually want to make my manager and district manager proud of me. imagine that.

I don't understand how all you people get caught to get fired. Maybe a lots changed since I worked for ERAC about 12 moths ago in terms of auditing.

I would do some shady and creative shit, BUT I WOULD ALWAYS INFORM THE CUSTOMER. "This is what I going to do for you and to help me." Just let the customer know, and you will be fine. Plus if anything really crazy goes on, I would think you would just shred the contract (not that I ever did that, of course).

Do you know the definition of ethics? Ethics is about conforming to accepted standards. When I worked for Enterprise, the set standard was to mislead customers on a daily basis. So I do not see what this Tommy guy did outside of Enterprise Rent-A-Car's set standards.
