Default My Weekend Begins..................

Well it's 4:30 on Friday. Think I might leave the office a little early, time to start the weekend. For all you corporate E-Monkeys out there stay strong, your weekend will start soon enough. By soon, I mean on Saturday around 1:00. At that point you can at least get 24 hours to yourself before having to worry about the shit show you will be walking into first thing Monday morning. That feeling you get in the pit of your stomach right around Sunday at 3:00 pm. You know the feeling Im talking about. Dirty Cars, people waiting outside, car preps calling out, the things you experience every Monday morning. Ah yes, its all coming back to me now. The chill that runs up my spine thinking of the bullshit one had to go through in order to make a piss poor salary working 55 hours a week. Don't try to convince yourself otherwise, it's not worth it. You can do better.

Ah, another one of these guys. I know your type.

You were too lazy for the long hours and hard work that ERAC demands. You were too timid and dumb to be able to sell. You lacked the drive and motivation to overcome the obstacles in your way and move up in the company. You probably worked for about a year and a half and never made it past MT, so you gave up and quit.

It still bothers you that you weren't good enough to make it, so you feel the need to come on this board and run your mouth about what a crappy company ERAC is just to make yourself feel better.

Did it work? Do you feel better now?

Probably not, because deep down inside you know that you just couldn't hack it. It's ok...don't take it too bad. Not everyone has what it takes.

Why does Enterprise have such sky high turnover and many people who move on to bigger salaries afterwards? I mean, how much do you make right now at Enterprise?

Hey e-chimp, how was Friday night with your Corona Lights and greasy pizza? Sitting in the office with the other clones sipping your beer with the top button of your shirt unbuttoned and pizza sauce dripping down the front of your shirt must have been great. Then getting up on saturday morning, still stinking of beer and going into the office which must have reaked of sweat and pizza must have been fun. Just remember, while you were doing that, I was at my place at the lake in NH kicking back, watching the Sox and just loving life. This Friday, while you are huffing and puffing about finding cars I will be getting off work at 1:30 to head up to my buddy's place at the beach in Maine for another weekend of drinking beers and kicking back at the beach. Think of me while you are trying to reach your ARM on the phone to get you cars. Book don't look!

You are too gullible to see that the long hours and hard work that ERAC demands are to line the pockets of superiors whose position you will never see. You are too slimy and underhanded to be able to see the uselessness of the scam protection you sell. You lack the drive and motivation to sober up, take a hard look at yourself and find a job that challenges your mind and makes you use the skills you learned in college. You are probably 2-3 years into your "career" and have been stuck at the BM position for over a year and in the back of your mind know that this is the end of the road.

It still bothers you that so many others had the courage to move onward and upward in life, and so you take the time after your 10-12 hour day to come onto a site dedicated to exposing your company and bad mouth some of the regulars. Perhaps you are even hoping that some of the big wigs are corporate actually know who logs on here and that being a good soldier can get you moving up once again.

Did it work? Do you feel better now? Did the RVP call and offer you a promotion?

Probably not, because deep down inside you know that you aren't going any further with ERAC and have wasted a few years of your youth. It's ok...don't take it too bad. Not everyone has the guts or moral fiber to make a better life for themselves.

Corona Light? You must have been at a high class branch. It was Bud Light at best where I was.

Nice post-gotta love the pro-eracers though....Nothing makes me laugh harder than seeing an emonkey attempting to rationalize their pathetic existence at all costs. Here's some food for thought-I wonder why there are no posters that after quitting come on this site and post how they miss working at erac. Nobody misses working at erac. How can one miss a torturous environment that exploits your talents while offering nothing in return but broken promises, an empty bank account, and bad health?

"Too lazy for the long hours" or smart enough to make more for less? Stop sipping the Kool Aid and start opening your eyes. When is the last time someone beyond a Branch Manager (other than a transferring ArM) was promoted within rental in GP18. Andy, KC and Larry have been there for years and will be because they ain't getting fired, they ain't getting promoted (retention) and the group ain't regionalizing (not a word). Enjoy!

That Guy,

Unfortunately you could not be more wrong. I was actually promoted from MA to Assistant Manager before the 1.5 year mark. Top of the matrix//120 club//etc, etc.
Now................my assessment of you, e-tard. You got this job either fresh out of college or you transitioned from a Blockbuster/Restaurant gig/Best Buy/or just a dead beat job. Chances are you have been with the company less then 1 year and still believe the propaganda, or you are so entwined in the lies they feed you that you have been chasing the corporate carrot for years and managed to get to Assistant Manager. You attend all the holiday parties trying to hook-up with some dump whose been banged more times then your mom. Now Im not trying to bash you (ok well maybe I am) but how can you be so ignorant as to not see the truth and realize you can do better. Look around. How many other people do you see with college degrees making 34,000.00 a year working 60 hours a week. Don't try to play the "bigger picture" card either. Less then 5% of the total employees make it to Area Manager
