Any ex or current GP18 ERACers out there? Good old Baltimore, MD?

Yeah, I worked at 1845 and 1805 for about a year. Quit last February.

I currently work at in group 18.

Anyone know anything about a past ARM/RRM, initials AS who eventually
went to corporate and is now VP in Raleigh, NC?

Yes I do and he is a good man. No point in bashing AS cause most people who worked for him liked him....except for those who couldn't perform. If you have issues with him it's probably because you consistently ranked dead last in the sales matrix for chesapeake city month in and month out.....otherwise you know the man is a great business man who can get results!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! How does his ass score in bouqet? Is it subtle or bodacious? Who's ass tastes better, his or your ARM? Give it a year, maybe 2, 3 whatever. You'll end up like so many other's, wondering "What the #%%#& was I talking about". I wasn't bashing anyone so don't protest to loudly? Great business man? Last I checked his results are embarrassing. His ESQI hasn't moved more than a point ( his growth is marginal at best and is low compared to the population growth down there and I talked to someone in the region down there who said his retention is in the 40's. Way to support the mission statement. If you truly care about this company take your head out of your ass and look at the results and learn what not to do. Maybe there's hope for you yet. As for my own performance I'm doing very nicely indeed, and dead last is a long way away.

Enough of the Ass Kissing. Heck, might even be AS himself tooting his own horn. hehe

I've known AS for years, going all the way back to our California days.

Positives: He's a very bright guy, totally understands the business drivers and how to make money, works hard at trying to be personable (memorizes jokes to always have one handy), and is willing to work very hard.

Negatives: He's the master politician. Listen to him fawn over the upper management when they stop by and you'll see what I mean. He'll drop everything if someone requires some ass kissing. The guy has virtually no loyalty to his people. He'll also take most to all of the credit when things go well, but pass the blame on down to others when they don't.

In the ERAC business everyone makes some good calls and some bad judgement calls (not the black and white decisions, but the grey ones - when to cut off a shop that's behind in payments or those tougher rental - who gets a car - decisions), it's the nature of the business. But if you're working for AS, just be safe and conservative in your decision making because he rarely stands up for his staff if things go south.

Record profits, he'll gladly take the trophy - conversions on his watch, it's always someone else's fault.

Yes, this sounds bad. But he's not a bad guy once you know his game and how he operates. His heart is in the right place most of the time and he's probably not aware of his shortcomings.

Actually I no longer work at ERAC (I am the so called Ass Licker) and maybe the reason AS and I got along is because I could perfom and was never on his shit list......too bad if you have so many bad memories..........maybe you should have performed instead of worrying about getting on this website and venting........pussy!
