but he had a lot of potential...if you live around dtown you know he had a lotta postives attracting new investment. stood up to deep rooted unions that have been bleeding detroit for too long...ballsy move for a politican in southeastern michigan.
he was just too immature to be a professional...abusing the cities loot on booze/entertainment, banging underlings, etc.
his only crime was not being honest, pretty minor in this day in age of politicans touching little boys, trying to get laid in mens bathrooms, etc.

Hey Kwame, here's some advice you might use for your defense. Try the "Blame Bush" defense. Not Ms. Beatty's bush, but our current president. And if that does not work, say that Dick Cheney actually infiltrated your cell phone text messaging system and sent those texts to frame you. If you have a black jury, this will work. He did have youth and a fresh perspective on his side, no doubt. I am guessing a city like Detroit might have needed that. But it is clear this guy feels he is entitled and is making a grab for city funds and has fucked up a few times already costing the city millions. Fucking his assistant is low on the list of his inadequacies, his stupidity of getting caught and lying is much worse.
