This board wouldn't be here without some crappy service in GP23. Great job SF'ers! |

| Former Grp 23'er here. I got out almost four years ago. I first heard of this site over a year later, in '04, when I came back to visit. Every now and then, when I need a huge break with whatever I'm doing I'll log on and check the discussion. I guess, rather than criticize or chastise I want to offer the following: 1) To this day feel personally responsible for Group 23 in failing Admin. Even though I quit ERAC before he quit ERAC, and even though I only knew him as an M.T., I should have taken more ownership and better respected his concerns. 2) I think, at least when I was there, ERAC's priorities, were a little misguided. Sure, there was talk about Customer Service, but, at the end of the day, IPC was what really mattered. And there were definitely cases where my BM and Asst. Mang. should have just let it slide (i.e. $100 off here or close to insurance rates for a retail rental there) in the name of customer service. 3) I think too, though perhaps it has changed, there is too much emphasis on CDW/PAI sales as a package. Now, I do believe in CDW as it does offer more than what your insurance/credit card will cover, BUT, I am not a big believer in PAI and really felt uncomfortable having to sell the "basic package" without separately explaining PAI--even if it was only a couple bucks more. I still rent from ERAC on occasion (no hard feelings) and do buy CDW but as a matter of principle, rather than just cost, do not buy PAI. I know that money needs to be made to drive up IPC but, "word of mouth is the cheapest form of advertising" and if emphasis on CDW were lightened up, despite any short term falls in IPC such would probably be more than compensated for with more people renting cheaper cars ("running tight") over the longer term. 4) I agree somewhat with the reservation (or lack thereof). One the one hand, "running tight" renting out as many cars as possible keeps ERAC in business without having to over do it on CDW/PAI sales, on the other hand, though, having to take a recurring and could have been loyal customer (like Admin was) over to another branch should happen no more than twice every ten rentals, at least. Finally, whether they are still there or not, there were some great ERAC employees at GP23 such as Brooks D, Courtney H, and Glenn M. to name a few. |

Sounds like you have a thing for her. I'm confused. I thought you were gay. At least that is what most of the posts on this site say about you. |
