Default Enterprise Rent-A-Truck Grp 23

Enterprise rent-a-truck is just as pathetic, if not more than the rental car side. Drive around a bunch of filthy, scum bag trucks, in your nice clothes of course and deliver them to a shit for brains customer that looks like he or she is the residual upchuck from the local sewer. Management is a complete joke with the new area manager Shawn Heimbach...this clown is the standard corporate suck-dick employee....which kind of makes sense since this monkey is from Texas. Either way, any one that has seen the light at the end of the tunnel and left this nightmare company, well; my congradulations and - P.S., "Fuck You ERAT"".

This is honestly pretty inaccurate.

I have done the car rental thing and the truck rental thing, and truck is a much better place to work.

Since Truck only deals with business clients, a lot more attention is given to account relationships. There are no up-sells or DW/SLP/PAI sales as the accounts are setup and negoitated in advance.

Truck branches do not need to run as tight as car, and everything is done on strict reservation basis. So there is actually time to run/grow the business as opposed to scampering around in panic mode trying to help retail customers into cars you don't have.

There is a lot more marketing in the truck division, and a lot less beraucracy.

I work with truck rental and am learning a lot of the back end stuff I know it's tough cuz you are always out on the field when I talk to you guys. I think you guys have your s**t together for the most part. Shawn is a great guy by the way. But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion right???

So true Truck rental is like rental with bigger units. Same thing as rental except washing trucks in a white shirt and delivering them to some pretty dirty customers, who then trash the shit out of them. I remember cleaning a truck out that had several gatorade bottles sealed with urine in them. The cab of that truck had like three trash cans full of garbage. Glad I got out when I did.

truck rental's way more organized and better managed. only the best area managers from rental are asked to move into truck. shit is just way better planned out, the reservations are made way in advance, cause trucking companies dont fuck around the way dealerships and bodyshops do. none of this, we're sending a customer over now and shes in a hurry, she needs a car and scrambling for cars at 8:30 at night on a friday
