It all depends. Cost of living is pretty high in the bay area and starting as an MT doesn't pay all that well (it's the overtime that you get the $$$). In the interviews they tell about the kind of money u can make but you don't really make it till you become a branch manager/area manager or go into remarket1ing or go into the admin side. I think the starting salary for an MT is like $13/14 hour plus overtime. Hope this information helps.

I've been in admin now for 4 years now and I'm not making what I should be. I know plenty of people in rental who are "starving" because they aren't making the money they should be making for the amount of money and overtime you put in. Best of luck for those who choose to work in our gp.

30k reasonably for MT/MA. No increase in pay for MA's that I know of. Poverty line in the general area is estimated at 50k. Erac seems to be a better overall deal in other area's outside of cali.

Basically... 2.1-2.2k month + your random bonus' here and there. With a roommate expect to pay 700/month rent minimum (no utils). Yea, they prolly pay more than your current group, but cost of living out here is nuts. Don't decide to come out here too hastily.

Shouldn't hate on people for being honest with others. He/She just gave honest advice, didn't exactly bash erac. There have been several people from middle america who see 23,32,30 paying more and jump over here and find themselves caught off guard on the costs out here.

My hats off to anyone working for ERAC in the bay area making that chump change. It's expensive in So. Cal but not as much in the Bay area. For fun I went on Salary.com to see what I would have to make in order to maintain my cost of living. Turns out I would have to make twice as much money in the Bay Area to have the same cost of living as I do in So. Cal.

I thought the Bay Area had a higher minimum wage?
