Default 24hh

First off let me say I have read several of your posts on this website, and actually found many of them to be quite funny. I currently work in 24HH, Capital District/Hudson Valley, and here is my take on Enterprise so far. I started E over this past summer fresh out of college, like many of you. From day one I was dissapointed. My biggest problem was how stupid and burnt out the other employees in my branch were. Now listen, I graduated a SUNY school with a 2.5 GPA, im no rocket scientist, but some of the people hired are not competant enough to work at a gas station. Now granted I met a few people here and there that were cool, but it was all the same theme, college grads working with no clue what they wanted to do with their life (myself included). Flex time was given week to week, as was lunch for the most part, in a given week I would never work more than 50 hours. My RRM SW is cool, some of the ARM were cool, some dont deserve their posistion. The RVP MC is a tool, plain and simple. The office is obsessed with "clubbing people over the head" and boating every customer. My student loans are kicking in, and along with my 40 min drive to work every day, rent, car payment, and insurance, my life pretty much blows. My girlfriend has been working as long as I have and shes making twice as much as me. Its embarrassing. My friends are making more money, my parents are on me about wasting money going to college. I have been actively pursuing other career moves, but the one thing I gathered talking to customers on ride backs etc. was give it one year, send out your resume, and employers will knock down your door. So thats what im doing. I must advise people who are thinking of quitting to give it a year or so and get some promotions under your belt, it will pay off when you are looking for a new job TRUST ME!!!!!!!!

I'm in HH too. MC is a tool, you're right. I've been w/ the company for 2 1/2 years now and I'm starting to get real fed up with there crap. I've started to look for another job, but haven't been successful yet in anything b/c I honestly don't know what I wanna do anymore after having ERAC put a bad taste in my mouth with alot of our daily responsibilities. I wish you luck my friend.

Yea, Im an intern in the vermont area. I thought about becoming a managment trainee after finishing my couple classes left, but after looking at other options the chances of me staying after december is pretty low. Lots of empty promises.

Hey fellow vermonter!! Sounds like you are one of the smarter ones looking forward to getting out. I haven't worked at ERAC in VT for years. Who's still there? The only one I know of is Little Lori (Rebecca).

I'd tell you but our branch is so small that It would give myself away. It basically consists of me the intern and an MT for the next three weeks with an 80 car fleet with 15 reservations and zero cars. This starts tomorrow... gonna be fun!... :'(
