Obviously I can see the difference. I don't think there is anything unethical in saying you've reserved an economy car, (even if we don't have it, and not saying that we do if we really don't) but for five dollars more I can get you into a brand new Impala. It's fair for both sides. The fact that we never had the POS that you reserved in the first place is irrelevant. Maybe you see it as a bluff, but that's part of the game. If you don't upgrade, then you may get a focus or some other POS. If that is okay with you then never upgrade.
