Default Identity Theft

A few years ago, FOX news ran a news report stating that they had investigated Enterprise Rent A Car for aiding Identity Theft. The reporters found copies of customer's drivers licenses, credit card information and copies of rental contracts in dumpsters behind the rental offices or left in rental cars. Anyone could go dumpster diving and retrieve a customer's personal information (name, address, phone, credit card information, drivers license, etc...) Although Enterprise claims to be "protecting" customer's information, that it is NOT happening. Rental branches get too busy and careless, and just throw away copies of old contracts or other personal information. Although the group investigated on FOX News was not Upstate New York, it is definitely still a problem there too!

That's what you've got. Some things weren't shredded once. This is your gripe against Enterprise. Am I correct here? You are being serious, right? I'm not misreading this.

Everything is blocked out. There is no information to be had. I could leave a contract sitting on a table with a microscope and you'd find no useful info for stealing identity. Just a name and phone number. DL is x'd out and so are the first 12 digits of the CC>
