All you green blooded newbies need to learn what ERAC is all about. It eats you up and then spits you out because it likes to keep the retarded jack asses who are yes men. Every now and then they will put a woman in charge, like the lady who ran a Rochester Area, but could not get the job done. Instead they put her into another position that made just as much money but they did not need the position, just to keep a lady on the books as being in management.

E has lost many good people over the years; JM, CB, CB, BH, LH, CG and many others. These people knew how to run and operate a business, but the problem for them is they refused to go and buy a pair of knee pads. Good for them. Knee pads are for the weak.

For enterprises part they are a business and can run it how they want. They want people who wear knee pads and say yes. Fine. Just beware all you new people and older ones who think you are on a track for success. It takes one bad review and you can be thrown out. They will make something up and you are gone. It is political and you must be willing to get on your knees for the next higher person.

I have seen plenty of people who dont mind that, but for those of us who understand that your family comes first and that there is a greener pasture on the other side of the fence we know because we have been there and WE WERE THE CREAM OF THE CROP. ERAC lost when they lost us.

That is all I can say is thank God Wally S. made it. He is the best guy the company has and he held out through all the "E" crap and finally made it to a position that is paying him what he is worth. Way to go Wally!!!! He is a member of a very small group that i can say i am happy he is bringing home great money, money he deserves. hopefully "E" doesn't screw him down the road and he becomes another middle aged guy looking for a job....a job that pays what he is used to making...good luck.

E does not promote lousy managers. I'm not saying that all Area managers are good at what they do, but at one time thay must have been a good branch manager.
I dont know of anyone that has ever worked for Wally that would agree with that, he is a great manager. Only reason you're saying that is because you didn't leave your name. Go ask your girlfriend for your cajones back,leave your name, and then you can talk trash.

That is not the sign of a good manager. As i said before, nice guy, lousy manager. I am happy for him because he is a nice guy. I just really didnt think he was that good. Also, Michael Tafner is case and point of a guy that could not have ever been a good manager. So your argument is not valid. Plus, it doesn't matter how good you are at managing, if you and your people can sell DW, you'll get promoted regardless of your management skills. You know it and i know it.

These guys work at Enterprise because any "normal" company would not hire them. They have very limited skills but were able to sell DW. Thats it. They have no other managerial skills.

Wow Taffner and Wally in the same sentence. That's like comparing Hitler to the Pope. Yes Wally sometimes mistook working hard for working smart by coming in at 6am and never taking a lunch, but he was always in your corner, always bent over backward for you, was genuinely concerned with training, and his crew always respected him. People enjoyed working for him dispite the actual shit job.

On the other extreme was the devil himself. Holy cow could there ever possibly be a worse manager of people in the history of management? My God if he isn't the perfect example of all that's wrong with the E and how they promote absolute jackasses. God bless you Syracuse. You really got the shaft with that deal in Rossi leaving and Barney Rubble coming in. This guy ruined more careers and the funny thing is they turned the other way because he's either so much a yes man and kiss ass or he had naked pictures of Richard with hooker.
