| I miss hanging out with my employees during slow times (Screw PDM's - My team was more important) and maybe playing baseball or frisbee. I miss growing while not doing PDM's and watching everyone else shrink while doing them. I miss my mentor teaching me how to "steal" business from other branches. I miss the easy access to hot, horny chicks. And their friends. I miss Multi-Area Happy hours thrown for no reason. I miss seeing a happy hour tab with a comma in it. I miss the tail all those free drinks helped me get. I miss That blonde from the ** dealer. I was young in my ERAC career, and her *** had just broken down. her license was at home. I took her home to get it. We got it on in her parent's house in front of her dog. She swallowed and then took dub. I never saw her again. I miss looking at the "next generation" and thinking the region would be in good hands. I miss the news reporter. She was so fricken hot, but would never give me (or anyone else) the time of day. I hope she is doing well. even though she went to a school i couldn't care less about, i would have married her on the spot. I miss working for a company that at least pretended to care about its people. I miss the annual LOCAL family picnic. I miss the dumb things - like charity airplane pulls and messages from my RVP on my anniversary. Yes, the messages were probably typed up by the asst, but it's the gesture - ya know? I miss seeing my employees actually WANT my job. I miss all the great people who have left. I've lost too many friends to the "machine". I miss being able to do whatever legal thing i wanted in MY office. I miss looking around in my region and seeing DIVERSITY in our leadership positions. Now, I see the same type of leadership here as I do in our corp office in st. louis. Take a guess. I miss being able to go outside and wash cars when i got frustrated. I miss working with a bunch of fun-loving, results oriented people who care about each other. I miss renting Escorts for $85/day on a "Holiday" special. I miss renting QX56's for $190/day to any dumbass who was going to pay it. I miss watching the right people get promoted. All in all, I miss the company I used to work for. And I still work here. What do you guys miss? |

I miss job security. Enterprise, the company that NEVER lays anyone off is about to start. And of course, it's the little guys who lose. We lost our receptionist, so now when people walk into our billion dollar business, the are greeted by an empty desk. SO professional. I will be losing my job in a year or so. The genuises that be are consolidating all the loss control into a few regional call centers. which means a lot of loss control reps will be losing their jobs. of course, the company will always say "you can go back into rental at less than what you were making" or you can quit. either way, the company doesn't owe you jack. there's talk of a severance, but they've probably calculated that only a small % of people will actually stay long enough to get the severance, thus saving them money. in all seriousness, who wants to work for a year knowing that you're done and with everyone else knowing that you're done? what kind of shit is that? Fuck enterprise. XXXX years for this. who's next? are we going to send accounting over to a bunch of $10/hour temps? why not just rent cars with self-checkout kiosk like they have in grocery stores? why wash cars? let's give every rental a car wash coupon. save on car preps. Why do we need regional rental managers? They do nothing but talk "big picture" anyways. that saves $100k+ per region. and why is there an accounting supervisor and a business manager? shit, why do we have a regional office? so we can pay a level 4 $300k+/year? We should have nothing but a bunch of branches with kiosks and 2 "mgrs" each. that way, we can save on desks, chairs, computers and rent - the branches won't have to be as big. fuckin idiots. Fuck you Andy. |

| When you all get bored, take a gander at the group 56 thread. There GM was recently arrested for soliciting a prostitute. Mug shot and everything. Go Nashville PD!!!! Please share this tidbit, as we all know the higher ups in St. Louis will try promptly to cover it up. |

***yes, the group 56 thing is hilarious. But to us now... I miss when we hired nothing but hot chicks who were clueless. There was this girl at a large dealership branch that we always referred to as "Da Twins" cause she just had this HUGE, natural rack. I get a woody just thinking about those things. I miss da twins. |
