More Forced to Flee Calif. Fires

Please Mr. Taylor, do not gouge the people of Southern California during this catastrophe just like you did on 9-11 and during Katrina! Shame on you!

I am a former chimp but my buddy still chimps in the Ventura-Oxnard area. He said upper management is salivating at the possibilities in the coming days to really make bank at the expense of this disaster. Typical Enterprise! Thank God I left that place.

Please, you were probably not even around on 9/11. If you were you remember that enterprise let customers one-way cars with no drop fees anywhere in the country. The same for katrina. And I know that we did not up rates!!
You are a selfish bastard that needs to learn how to keep your sh*t-hole mouth shut. Especially in times where people are losing their homes and cars. Do you even live in SO CAL?? OR NYC?? OR New Orleans??

I'm all in favor of supply and demand.
but raping peeps during a crisis is disgusting...no, ERAC is not alone, but you are naive to think that this doesn't happen at your awesome company.
and yes, i was around during 9/11...NO group made a killing, don't deny it.

I did work for Erac during 9/11 at LAX of all places. We were not closed by management but due to the circumstances of what happened that day. Some local offices were closed but the ones closet to LAX remained open for overflow airport business and they did overcharge! When LAX reopened at first there were outrageous charges for one drops all guided by the hands of upper management. It wasn't until some higher up at Farmers insurance got charged some outrageous drop fee and called St Louis to complain to Andy himself that all one way drops fees were refunded back and not charged at all. All this being said Erac will find a way to charge more because they can and will until someone from corporate tells them otherwise. Is is right? Morally no, but it is simple economics of supply and demand. Customers can choose to pay or not.

I have read some posts on here in the past of people that worked in New York and New Orleans during 9/11 and Katrina and some have said that although they may have not formally charged a drop fee they did up the rate a significant sum of money. So inessence, the drop fee was included in the rate.

How ERAC Exploited 9-11

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On this Memorial Day as I watch United 93, I remember back to 9-11-01 and how Andy Taylor exploited the tragedy for his own gain. Like most major cities that day, thousands were stranded since there were no planes flying due to the nationwide shutdown. As that day progressed and into Sept 12th, we were given orders to jack up rentals prices. Now, some of these were 4 or 5 times the normal rates. It was sad because people were desperate to get back to their families and Andy wanted to lighten their wallets a little along the way too. And this coming from a guy whose father served on the U.S.S. Enterprise in World War II and goes on and on about how patriotic he is and how ERAC stand for American values, etc etc etc. What a bunch of horseshit. Andy will do anything for a buck, even exploit national tragedies.

I worked in an airport on 9-11, and drop fees were only dropped because thousands of customers called to complain, not because of ERAC's compassion! We didn't get a company wide memo to jack rates, because our airport rep controlled those, but don't kid yourself, ERAC caved because of pressure, not their empathy for others!

What kind of lies are serving up e-monkey? Are you proud of the fact that you Area Managers high-fiving each other today in California, just watering at the mouth for desperate customers? Maybe, if we are lucky, a disaster like this will hit you or your family someday and then you'll know what it's like.
