Re: People dropping like flies Word on the street is that several "old school" managers are just looking for an excuse (following Wittons lead) to bail, some of them are just "afraid". Some will leave voluntarily, and some involuntarily (ie. demotion so you have to quit on principle alone, tactic used by ERAC to avoid unemployment payments and a feeble attempt to salvage falling retention numbers). Also, a newer manager whose commision check is in the double digits is on his way out, or so he says. Its hard to justify PAYING FOR A COMPANY CAR when your commission doesn't even cover it and your assistant makes more than you. It surprises me how SCARED and brainwashed these people are into believing theres nothing else out there for them. At happy hours everyone seems ready to "accept other offers" except the nubes who haven't learned the pain yet. My sympathy is used up for these individuals. The manager of Chatsworth wanted to quit, but he settled for a demotion and transfer cause he wanted to move his family to Nevada. My resume is ready for distribution now. Put together a binder of accomplishments (you guys have been updating your resume, and saved every congratulatory email/MS01 right??), get a recruiter to fine tune it and move on with your life. Monster, here I come. -2 o'clock LIES |
