great philosophy. I'd rather be lazy and make shit too.

everyone knows that people who get recruiting into loss control, accounting, etc. are losers who didn't make it in rental. the smart ones are the ones who've left and found peace outside of the evil E.

The failed rental employees with bullshit degrees, are not going to be recruited into the Accounting program. Unless you have an accounting or finance degree, dont share your uneducated opinions on this subject.

Your gonna sit here and correct grammer? Did you learn that in your English 402 class? Of course I'm an accountant and damn proud of it. Let me guess... your a 27 year old MA. Have no money contributed to your 401k. Have no money saved for retirement or discretionary income. But who cares right? When your 70 years old and your financial planner tells you that you need to work the rest of your life, you'll be able to put a hell of a sentence together when Wal-Mart asks you to write a 1 page paper together on why you would make a great door greeter!

Ha ha ha! You're hilarious. So proud that you're an Enterprise accountant. Good for you. I was an accountant as well working under BG (the biggest dumbass on the face of the planet). The difference between you and I is that I didn't graduate from Chico State, SF State, Cal State Long Beach, etc. Also, I now work for a Fortune 500 "public" company as an Accounting Manager doing real accounting work. Have fun putting "true up" and "ECARS 2.0" on your resume. I shouldn't be mean to a fellow accountant but you are the exact reason why I left ERAC. I just simply couldn't stand being around dumb people. Oh, and regarding you 401k comment, I know EXACTLY how much everyone makes at every level. So considering the fact that you're most likely not a Controller, you're probably contributing approximately $2.75 every paycheck to your 401k. Maybe you'll be the one working at Wal-Mart.

I don't understand where everyone gets 60-70 hrs a week?? The hours admin office is open does not even equal that. If you are going to bitch about hours, than at least be truthful in your assumptions. Typical admin (accounting, Loss control, etc.) is 9.5 hrs/day X 5 days a week = 47.5 hrs a week. Even if no lunch hour is taken at all, it would mean working 52.5 hrs a week.
Do you stop and realize that to work 70 hours in a week you would have to work 6 am - 6 pm Monday thru Friday and another 10 hour shift on a saturday?? Get a life, stop bitching about a job you no longer have and THINK before you start to spew the BS that comes out of your mouth.

You're a genius. The person you are yelling at is an ERAC accountant talking about how accountants "outside" of Enterprise have to work 60-70 hours/week. I swear, like I said before, people like you are the exact reason why I left ERAC accounting. You guys have an average IQ of about 50.

Dude, that salary fucking blows, I don't care how many (or few) hours you are working. An accountant is a valuable professional with VERY marketable skills. The good ones CONSTANTLY get recruited to more lucrative positions. They almost never have to even look for jobs because the jobs just seem to come to them.

I live in Western Pennsylvania (much lower cost of living than Cali), and I can tell you that NONE of my accounting friends started lower than $45K / yr straight out of college. Now several of them are clearing $100K with their CPA (6 or so years later). Fact is, if you're an accountant and you stay with ERAC longer than about a half a second, you've wasted your degree.
