Hi, After scheduling an interview with erac I came across this website. Is working in san diego for erac as bad as the stories i see in the general forums? Can people who actually work in the san diego area please give me some input as to your job. Positives and negatives please. Thanks

Positives: Working with cool people (at some branches, hot people), occasional happy hours, outside shit like the holiday party, one year orientation and asst. day at the races to name a few. Negatives: long hours (anywhere from 55-65 hrs a week depending on your branch), having to deal with weird bullshit (e.g. calling people to tell them there reservation doesn't mean shit b/c we are sold out or people who tell them Avis can give them a car for $5 and demand you beat their rate or shit like that), frequent stress, occasional customers who are so crazy/stupid/angry that you want to put a gun to his/her head. This may or may not happen but some tend to gain a lot of weight the first year at erac and some turn to hardcore drugs. If you weren't before you will become addicted to coffee/energy drinks to get through the day. If you hate 'tools' at your job you'll encounter a few here and there and wonder if they have a life outside of erac (which they dont). Advice: For some people erac is a life changing career and for others its a sexy resume item. My advice is if you make it give it at least 6 months to see if it is for you. If not, fuck it, move on to something that will make you happy. But if it is for you, then congrats, tell everyone who works with/under you to avoid this website. Don't let a lot of these posts sway your decision because 90% of those who post here are pissed off ex-employees (myself included).

ERAC is not as bad as they say, IT'S FUCKING TEN TIMES WORSE! Positives: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Negatives: 60-70 hr work weeks, asshole customers, dipshit bosses, cleaning cars in your suit, no lunches, no breaks, working Saturdays, promotions based on kissing ass. You will gain 25 pounds, never see your friends, family or boy/girlfriend. People will laugh at you for working here. Everyone quits sooner or later. EVERYONE. Do yourself a favor, don't do it. Not worth it AT ALL.

You should have kept the appointment and gave a homeless guy $20 to go for you in your place. __________________ "McCain will bring a lifetime of experience,Obama will bring a speech that he gave in 2002" -Hillary

because the majority of Americans who rent are not intelligent.... the job wont be that bad if the customer base was educated. i feel that i am generally smarter than most of the customers. maybe b/c i am young and i can think out of the box where as the older customers are like a bunch of tards. high school kids could figure out more stuff than the damn customers who are only RENTING the car.....not buying the bitch. They are RENTING b/c their new car is broke, wrecked.....or they cant even afford to buy one!!!!!!!!
