That place is going down the toilet just as fast as you can flush.
They just lost another excellent employee, because they were treated like shit and told to eat it until the promotions happened! "The carrot is so close,,, don't quit. Don't quit, you will get promoted soon!" What a load of hot shit!

It brings me great joy to see that this bullshit company is finally going down. I haven't checked out this site in awhile. I worked in ZZ for over a year about two years ago and it was the worst year of my life. My only advice to all of you is get out early and find a real career. ERAC will only bring you misery.

I love people who think Managing a business is not a real career. Go give some more pharm samples out and then we'll talk when your making 60k 5 years from now and your only skill is handing out freebies to doctors. For the haters, I have only been with erac 1yr 4 mos and I am making over 50k. It's worth it if you have any backbone or work ethic.

wait till you're a manager and flip takes a dump. Always a good time when your asst managers are making as much or more than the manager.

Must suck to not control your cost and rely on flip to make ur paycheck. If thats the case, you should be at a dead end sales job too. So when your 40, you can "know how to sell". Or maybe you can go work with a bunch of 40+ yr olds who hate you because your younger with a degree while you watch them hold you back from moving up or learning anything.

Jobs that ERAC "quitters" have now and their pay(this is real people I know):
Princeton review: fills envelopes for $10 an hour
Sales for waste company: 32k salary..drives all over so cal on his own dime in his own car.
A&M Healthcare: I cold call people for 10$ an hour to come be traveling nurses.
Nordstrom: I sell shoes!! (thats my favorite)
viejas: training to be a pit boss (thats the only decent one Ive heard of)
Teaching: Yea! take your work home with you, put up with snotty kids.. and make maybe 40k.. maybe.
Xerox: Sells copiers business to business and wishes they never left erac.
Service Writer for pac honda: whoo hoo! I will make 60k for the rest of my life and will ALWAYS have to deal with customers.
Nanny: thats a good one too
Pharm sales: Thats a given..theres a reason they recruit erac people. Think about it. oh and enjoy topping out at 100k :) (if ur lucky)

Point is, if you hate ERAC soo much, then why bother wasting time with it. IF your done your done.. Most likely, you miss working with people your age, getting free drinks and parties and prob dont make too much more now with much less opportunity. I hope someone with a masters comes in and gets to be your boss after working for years to move up, because I know that won't happen here. I personally am glad all of you quit, thats more room for me and less unmotivated lazy people in the company. Oh and by the way..Revenue was over 9 billion this year.. a 2 billion increase over prev year.. doesn't sound like its going anywhere.

here is what ERAC cheerleaders don't understand:
other jobs have honour and respect.
renting cars does not.
try to tell me renting cars is as noble as teaching the youth of america
or that selling medicine is somehow less noble than renting shitty cars
and about your comment at topping out a 100k...considering the average erac worker quits before his 2nd year, he is no where near to making 100k.
i'd guess the percentage of erac people who make over 100k is less than 1%, considering that most quit.
and even if a erac person does make more than 100k...he had to sell his soul to do it...personally, i'd rather make 50k and have more self-respect and opposed to nickel and diming people at ERAc

Not all medicine helps people, so don't assume pharmaceuticals is a noble industry. There is a lot of undercutting and the product that you are pushing on people, might end up being pulled by the FDA because it just killed a few dozen people or created health issues that they didn't have before making their pre-existing health issues even worse. Teaching children - now that is noble, of course with the exception of the teachers that molest and sleep with their underage students. Basically my point is there are issues with every job and every job serves a purpose. ERACers aren't saving the world, they are just providing a service for a market that is obviously there. Every job has a function in this world and that's why it's there, from the retail clerk to the dog walker to the crack dealer - there is a need, so the job exists.

I agree, I think pharm sells is a lousy proffession... Advertising drugs to consumers? Making the general public think they might have an illness?? Getting doctors to perscribe something that the patient might not really need, but the patient thinks they do? I think that that industry has really crossed the line. Especially when there are people who really need medication but cannot afford it.
ERAC is not a glam job by any mens, but we provide a SERVICE. it is a SERVICE that people need/want. If people didnt need to rent cars, we would be out of business. And at least at erac you don't have upper management dictating your every move. If you perform, you are putting yourself in position for higher pay, promotion.
