all i can tell you from 12 years of experience and recently bailing is don't let your life pass you by. before you know it, you will be old and gray and having heart attacks from the stress this company caused you. Get out, do what you love, do what your passionate about, who is passionate about renting a car....no one....For all you people that love it so much....get a life....

Princeton review: fills envelopes for $10 an hour
Sales for waste company: 32k salary..drives all over so cal on his own dime in his own car.
A&M Healthcare: I cold call people for 10$ an hour to come be traveling nurses.
Nordstrom: I sell shoes!! (thats my favorite)
viejas: training to be a pit boss (thats the only decent one Ive heard of)
Teaching: Yea! take your work home with you, put up with snotty kids.. and make maybe 40k.. maybe.
Xerox: Sells copiers business to business and wishes they never left erac.
Service Writer for pac honda: whoo hoo! I will make 60k for the rest of my life and will ALWAYS have to deal with customers.
Nanny: thats a good one too
Pharm sales: Thats a given..theres a reason they recruit erac people. Think about it. oh and enjoy topping out at 100k :) (if ur lucky)

Point is, if you hate ERAC soo much, then why bother wasting time with it. IF your done your done.. Most likely, you miss working with people your age, getting free drinks and parties and prob dont make too much more now with much less opportunity. I hope someone with a masters comes in and gets to be your boss after working for years to move up, because I know that won't happen here. I personally am glad all of you quit, thats more room for me and less unmotivated lazy people in the company. Oh and by the way..Revenue was over 9 billion this year.. a 2 billion increase over prev year.. doesn't sound like its going anywhere.

I wonder who wrote this? Maybe a current assistant manager at 44??

i don't know but i agree with him/her. if you hate erac so much, and you don't miss it, then what kind of message are you showing by spending time posting messages on this forum? I know that if I left a job because I hated it, I wouldn't be spending my free time on this thing! We get it, it wasn't for you. We get it, you've got the absolute best job now and the best life and you want to scream from the rooftops about how absolutely horrible enterprise is and everyone should all quit and take everyone down and ruin the company! Newsbreak, not going to happen. This company is much bigger than you and I and will profit no matter what happens. So I say, if you don't like it, quit already. No one cares! If I choose to stay and work the hours and what not, its my choice. The people that quit are always the ones that can't hack it anyways...can't grill, can't make ETE, can't get promoted, can't sell. Think about the last person that quit that was a rock star?? Hmmmm... Don't think we're going to take the "get out now" advice from the slackers....

Why are you on the forum?? If you love ERAC so much then you should be just playing around with your ms01's, or workbrain not posting on a site dedicated to the hatred of this company. Who care what message anyone sends, the job sucks plain and simple, here are some facts for you:

Region z has like 6 area managers, 1 RRM, and 1 RVP...that is 8 spots. There are over 60 MTs, MAs, AMs, and BMs all combined. This goes for every region, every group. So you keep plugging away 60-70 hrs a week, you keep writing off DUB, keep being a slave to ESQI..and keep believing that someday you will make it big with ERAC.

Me, well I am going to work at a job that I actually Like, not care about making $100k by the time I am 29 and hate my life. No ERAC isn't for everyone, neither is being a garbage man, but just like the sanitation department, ERAC is just another dumping ground for misguided college grads who walk through mounds of crap just to try to get a glimpse of something better.

ERAC is not a glam job by any mens, but we provide a SERVICE. it is a SERVICE that people need/want. If people didnt need to rent cars, we would be out of business. And at least at erac you don't have upper management dictating your every move. If you perform, you are putting yourself in position for higher pay, promotion.

You provide a service huh?? So does McDonalds, So does your local garbage man, so does the guy who cleans out the port-a-potties. Don't justify your serivce. I quit because I didn't spend a fourtune in college to be renting cars. I dont give a damn if it is management, it is still renting cars. So I will think of you when I am wearing my polo shirt in the summer and a nice button down that is a color other than white in the winter while you wear your suit, clean a filthy car, get your tie stuck in a vaccume, gain 20lbs, and realize that you don't have any time for a life outside of ERAC. If you want your life to be ERAC then god speed, if your normal then think it over..is $1 million dollars a year really worth your happiness? your life? your health? or your soul?

I didn't quit because I couldn't sell, in fact I made my fair share of ETE's, I sold just fine, I probably could have gotten promoted. It's not that I couldn't hack it with the job, it's that I hated my life and hated who I became from working there. When you sign your name on that employment form, it is just like the ARMY...you sign your life away

"a glimpse of something better" is really a facade. What is wrong with a garbage man? I can assure you most union waged sanitation workers earn more annually than ERAC ARM's.
