Yea and it's made worse because ERAC buys the absolute cheapest tickets available. They make those guys show up at some ridiculous hour for their "breakouts" after a 12 hour flight. Of course the flight is actually several hours longer than that with all the layovers since the tickets are the cheapest available. Then all the managers come back and we hear about the idiots that trashed a Budget kiosk or the married managers having affairs in Orlando, or the managers getting drunk and acting stupid in general. Then of course the MTs and admin guys have to pick up the slack while the managers are gone with absolutely no extra pay.

My old manager here in hawaii used to sell weed to customers. I don't do any drugs but I thought it was hillarious. The pay is so fucking low that employees are forced to break the law to make ends meat. Fuck ERAC hawaii. I can't wait to quit over here. I've never worked so hard and got absolutely nothing in return. No pay, no praise.. Maybe a free lunch every month with some egomaniac. These guys go out of their way to be cheap on every little thing. I take pride in the fact that I've never recruited anyone here because I'd be ruining their life. They don't give a fuck about you, they just want to keep costs down so they will make a few extra bucks. The GM here is notorious througout corporate as being the cheapest son of a bitch in the company.. Wayne Tanaka is his name and he and his crew are making so much fucking money that they can't even comprehend what it's like to make less than 2g's a month as a manager! FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!

The moral here in Hawaii is so bad amongst employees that we must have the worst retention in the company. Since i've been here, all of my managers have quit and we have an area manager who is one of the most manipulitive liars I've ever met. I'm on my way out the door asap and if anyone has any recommendations to leave the largest impact on the way out please please let me know. I am so disgusted with this company it makes me sick. I have never seen such a blatent disregard for peoples well being in my entire life.

I have to ask, who is your area manager. Even though I left a few months ago I'm sure I know who they are. Turnover is so high there I wouldn't be surprised if they were car preps when I worked for admin. Do they still do those ridiculous top performer breakfasts? Way to splurge on the cheapest meal you can buy, and force employees to wake up early for no reward.

Oh now that sucks. Did you really work for admin? What part? How much do those assholes get paid? I hear Dee Lim at HR tries to justify the pay being so low by saying we need to find cheaper places to live and not have cell phones. You poor thing, having to work with those cheap asses. I hear that when Wayne (the GM) takes people out to lunch he tells them to keep it to a 12 dollar minimum? This is the guy everyone knows makes well over a mil a year!

I worked in the loss control department. As for Dee, I never really asked her about our pay being so terrible. Wayne did tell managers to keep costs down on taking employees to lunch though. He also switched the top performer lunch to a breakfast because it's cheaper.

I left because I wasn't making enough money. We made about $825 or so every two weeks. That's just disgusting, especially when auto insurance adjusters, doing essencially the same job, make way more than we do. Then again, so do teachers, police officers, fire fighters etc. The hours were better at admin. We only worked 8 to 5.
Yea group 36 has many problems. The outer islands basically do whatever they want, and have hardly any quality employees (if any). What self respecting college graduate would stay in Maui, or the big island for that matter? Especially for the amount of money MT's are paid. Management is always turning over because noone wants to stay for their crappy salaries either. Oahu isn't as bad as the outer islands, but almost everyone in Hawaii ERAC says "f*** the regulations from corporate, I'll do what I want". This of course results in pandamonium and chaos. The entire group is a nightmare.
The other thing the group has against it is opportunity for advancement. How big is 36 ever going to get? Some brainwashed people will tell you there's no limit. What a bunch of crap. The Hawii market is only so big.

Another true statement. Wayne would do anything to save a buck. It's not that I really hold that against him. He's a business man, but he's so obvious about it. He doesn't even try to hide the fact that he doesn't care one bit about you. A manager quits? Fine, he'll find any number of people to take their place. An MT quits? Who cares. A monkey could do that job. Although, a monkey would demand better pay.
