I want to hear some feedback from erac hawaii!! Is it true that people are scared to post on here because they are afraid of losing their jobs? Don't be shy! Lets hear some dirt!! There is plenty of it!!

I'm not afraid to post here! The pay is pathetic and you work your ass off! They say it's performance based, but its really who you get to know. The whole point of being a top performer is the $100 bonus, but also to get yourself known to top management. I've given up trying to even get grilled. I don't want to waste anybody's time in trying to refer someone to work here, nor do I feel the corporate account is worth the time. Corporate accounts for rental car companies such as Hertz have everything all type and ready for them to go in and out. Plus the car is reserved, and they give free upgrades because they know that person rents a lot. Here at Enterprise, we always try to upsell shit even though they are repeat customers. Supposedly, we're supposed to have ethics, but hell, in the business world, it's all about 'help me, help you!' Speaking of performance, I remember before David Kim reached AM, he'd almost always get near perfect PAC sales. That's total BS! He either must be fixing the rates or doing some RALPH exploits for his stats to be almost perfect. I find it hilarious that there are actually some people still driven to rise up in ERAC. I could not imagine working 6 years of my life working 50+ hours a week only to reach that Area manager position. Another note is, I can't believe people who are in their late 20's with MBAs applying for this position! It is such total BS wasting your time with a MBA if you're going to work for a job that pays way less than what a MBA graduate should make! The average MBA pay should be around $60K+ (provided they have good experience I assume). I got this job as a last resort and for experience! I feel its time for me to move on soon, the work conditions are finally getting to me. I'm proud to say I'm not at all brainwashed by ERAC's push for big dreams! For god's sake, its only a damn rental car company. We should all get together sometime!

Well said!!! I worked at erac hawaii for 2 years. My last month at erac I was ranked #1 am in the state. After taxes I netted $1800 for the entire month. Is this how you reward hard work? This truely is a failing enterprise and I was fortunate to get out when I did and not drag it out any longer. I still feel sorry for my friends still there. I know they are even more miserable than I was because I can see it on their faces. There are so many great opportunities for work here in Hawaii and erac is definately not one of them.

When people ask what I do now, I'm kinda embarassed to say I work at Enterprise Rent A Car!! I met someone who graduated same time as me, and he is doing a management training at a local bank! Puts me to shame! Especially when his hours are much less than mines and he makes and has less stress!

Yah 2 people from 3612 (Hickam) quit! That's gonna suck on Nadine's retention margin $3,000 per employee! Too bad, she's nice too. Gotta hit it hard on the asshole BMs and AMs!! Not too much here in gp36 but there are a few whom I would want to quit under!
| |||
Why would anyone work for erac hawaii? The reason people quit is because it is a terrible company to work for here in the islands. The pay is horse shit and they work you like an animal. I think when i quit over here on Maui there were 3 other people that quit the same month. Does corporate look at these numbers and even care that there is a problem? There are so many better opportunities here than erac. I personally helped another employee find another job because I knew all too well what it felt like to be trapped in that company. For me to see them making way better money, working 10 hours less a week, and treated like a human being by their managers now makes me feel so good. ERAC if a failing enterprise even though they are making 9 billion a year. They are failing because they burn people out and make too many enemies. They are failing because they are so damn greedy at the top and treat everyone else like crap. They waste good talent and promote people who don't deserve it but just happen to stick around long enough to get lucky and slide into a position. I will never rent another car from this company even if I have to pay more elsewhere.
