Re: PENSKE HIRING LOOKING FOR ERAT & ERAC EMPLOYEES I couldn't resist replying to this post. I spent the most awful 6 months of my life at Enterprise. I did the college on campus recruiting thing and get suckered in. I figure, Hey! I get to drive around all day and gain real life experience in the business world. The first week of training they have the truck people roll through to try and sell us on truck. They made it sound great. Easy way to get to level 2 and don't have to deal with all the traditional BS that ERAC employees get tossed their way. They go and do outside sales half of their week (slow jerk off motion). So I go for it and I could never have been more wrong! Want a job where you grovel, cut corners, and do anything to look like you are doing better than you actually are? They will park trucks at possible customer locations for the customer to use at their leisure. Ever had 20% utilization? Well it can happen when you park a 16 footer give the keys to the owner and say call us when you actually use it. To me it just seems like they are trying to get as many trucks off their own lot to avoid catching grief from the GM. Good way to manage the fleet right? ERAC might be the big dogs in car rental, but are so far from having any kinda control of the truck market its funny. When I joined ERAC I thought I was joining a successful company that knows how to run a successful business, especially at outshining the competition. This is not the case in truck. Enterprise is blindfolded and has their hands tied behind their backs when dealing with Penske and Ryder. I understand that Andy is a big dick swinging CEO, but until Enterprise rent a truck can be a TRUCK COMPANY, then I recommend you work for a real truck company or get out of the industry. |
