Enterprise Rent-A-Truck in summary:
Jump into the commercial truck rental business dominated by Ryder & Penske...offer pricing at half the price of competition to win over customers in the short-term. Then start slowly raising prices until customers get angry and go back Penske or Ryder.

Aren't ERAT box trucks supposed to have D.O.T numbers on the doors?

Luke, glad you finally smarted up and left!

and former truck peeons miss jumping trucks in single digit tempretures and freezing your ass off?

might be the best part of not working for truck anymore

oh yeah, dont forget-you can't wear a stocking cap because it would not be a good idea for a customer to see you in one and is very unprofessional.

Why does everyone in Cincinnati rent-a-truck dislike Minick so much?

To clarify, its actually columbus, cincy and dayton. he was never involved out side of cincy and dayton becuase honestly the drive to cbus cut into his golf schedule.
He hired 2 new area managers and the one in cbus i guess has pissed off the entire staff becuase he knows EVERYTHING and his was of doing things are the only way of doing things.
He gave his area managers total control and they totally controlled it to not being profitable. too much emphasis on beating the competition and making people work their ass off (including managers) and not taking coin home at the end of the day becuase you worked harder for less from customers.
Back to minick. he preaches the values but at the end of the day, like every other level 3 and up, he only cares about him self and a select few of the chosen ones.

It sounds like rent a truck is headed down the tubes. What are they trying to do to save it, or is it going to slowly die?

My company rented a truck from Enterprise Rent-A-Truck, and they were so desperate to keep our business, they wouldn't even charge us back for fuel if we didn't fill the tank! And we're talking about A LOT of money here...20 or 30 gallons of diesel at a time, on the house, because that's the only way they can steal business from the competition!

Kinda pathetic.

Based on the quality of responses and it must be MWW who is posting responses on this board. To be honest, no way could JR come up with some of the big words listed, he never could represent himself in a meeting, talk about open mouth and insert foot. And if it is MWW, why are you so bitter about the whole deal- you left on your own terms.
