not booking deals cause you don't want to be bothered with it
tacking pai on to dealership deals
using cars afterhours (lol my personal favorite)

you are right, there are no companies out there that try to maximize profits, enterprise is the only one. by the way, i hear larry from 3810 is the shadiest.

In car sales, we sold a car with 4 different brands of tires on it...
...got a Jeep from florida that had birdshit on the *inside* of the car (and lots of it)

...took a trade on a 2000 cavalier and only gave the lady $2,000.00 for it. We told her that's all it's worth and we just send them to the auctionblock. We sold it 1 week later for 7999.00. We also found her a loan at 24.99% interest. She will pay more in interest than she will for the car itself

...we spraypainted floormats with grey paint because they were so dirty that they couldn't be cleaned and the $20 new ones at Wal-Mart were too expensive.

When the lady who traded in the cavalier came back to sign some loan papers, we had to hide her car that we put up for sale so she wouldn't see how bad we put it in her butt.

Reading some of this stuff just makes me all the more happier that I did not play the "I'll give it one year" game. What's amazing is how profitable the company is despite itself.
