Group 39 employees Any group 39 employee's out there. I heard about this site about a month before I put in my two weeks (1day) notice. Let me tell you what a relief it was to know that I was not alone in my feelings of betrayal by ERAC. I too came right out of college geared up to start what I thought was a career. I was a MA within 5 Months and was promoted to AM of a one of the largest branches in Cleveland at 9 months. I thought I was doing great and on the fast track. I then spent the next 2 and half years being moved around the area as the "#1 assistant manager" in the area---direct quote from the Area Manager. Every office i went to had horrible Esqi and icp when I arrived. Within 6 months the manager an I had 20%-30% increase's in fleet growth an esqi at 79, which for GP 39 is awesome. I frequently attended the Elite Events for the top area manager, branch manager, assistant etc. BR manager spots began opening up and I thought that I was sure to get a spot. I had intervied for three differet offices and thought they all went great. About a week had past and I finally got word that I did not get any of the positions, instead, AM's that had been there less time, had lower esqi and icp had jumped over me. I was called in to talk to my area manager and was told that I was passed over because I more or less did not kiss enough ass. I was furious. I sent an MS01 to the HR department expressing my concern, to no avail. About a month later recieved a call from my area manager telling me that the car sales department wanted to know if I would be interested in coming over there. I jumped at the chance just to get out of daily rental. I spent my last 9 Months at Car sales and was the top sales person in my office for 7 of those months. I finally got a brake when I entered the mentoring program. My first and only Mentee was at the office right next to our car sales office. She had just moved from California and needed a job, and of course ERAC was hiring. After a month, she told me that she had gotten a job with a new company and asked me if I was interested. I jumped at the choice and spent the next two weeks using my "choice days" to interview. I had gotten the job. I had already scheduled a week of vacation coming up. I had the luxury of enjoying that vacation like no other, knowing that the day I came back I was putting in my "two weeks" notice. When I got to work my first day back, I was overjoyed when I checked my MS01 and there was a notice that my old Area Manager had "resigned". He finally got what he desereved! All of the lying and bs had finally caught up with him. I will say that over the four years i was at ERAC, I truely did enjoy my final months at car sales. I still keep in touch with some of my old co workers there. ERAC is not for everyone. If you are there, make the most of it and never stop looking for other opportunites. They are out there. And most employeers know what we go through at ERAC and know that we will be sucessful once we get the chance to get out. ex39'r out |
