Default just fill up the damn tank

So...our fuel policy is pretty simple, right?

So this customer rents a car with a full tank. Just bring it back with a full tank! It's not rocket science! I check it in, its between 5/8 and 3/4. So I tell her that the gas is short, does she want to go put gas in it, or pay $4/gal at the branch. She gets allll upset, because, since she was paying cash, she had to prepay at the gas station, and since she was only doing $4-5 at a time, she had to make multiple trips. Well, if you're going to go to all that goddamn trouble, why don't you fill it up like you were supposed to, because now I'm really going to irritate the shit out of you by sending you back the gas station to do it alll over again, because you were too much of a dumbass to fill it in the first place and refuse to pay $4/gal at the branch.

And this is my fault how???

One of my pet peeves as well, and the staff here actually got together and began refusing to stop at the gas station during the customer's drive back, a trick the customers would use to get out of filling it up before returning the vehicle, and avoid paying the gas fee.

The excuse always was "I didn't have time to gas up". Well, I don't have the time to cart your skank ass into a gas station either.

Its especially funny when they rent the car for $15 bucks a day on the weekend special and think we should comp them two gallons of gas because "its close"
