| well, you can expect to book 6 8am reservations and have 3 cars available, then take the 3 who dont have cars to work, then call a driver in to deliver a CCAR for an ARMS res who had a SCAR res, then the next day expect to go out and switch them out into a SCAR even though its a Sentra, then waste your "one hour break" doing Callbacks, where the bodyshop managers are pissed that you have to call them again today even though you called them yesterday about the same customer |

| Don't waste your time asking for true feedback on this board. Call a few branches randomly and ask people (make it sometime in the late morning or early afternoon). Chances are you'll get some pretty frank comments. It's not the easiest job in the world, but it can have some positive rewards. |

| Look the truth is--- Enterprise is slave labor--- BUT-- if you can get through a couple of years of crappy pay and long hours and the worst kind of dealing with stupid people you can make a decent amount of money and use them for your resume to get into a better company. The entry level job sucks-- it just does-- long hours in the rain and snow washing cars-- working 6 days a week for really no pay. (the people at mcdonalds make about the same wages initially). Most of the people who work there are mediocre jerks looking for a mall police type of power in a world where they couldnt get into a real company. But some are great and may make it all worth it. Id say its not for MOST people. But 1 out of every 100 people love it and work there forever. Just know that no matter what they tell you.....its 50-60 hours a week, outside in every kind of weather while you are overdressed to wash cars, the pay is insulting, and so are the rules they make you follow, BUT if you dont mind all that-- in 5 to 7 years, you will either have a career you enjoy or GREAT resume material (other companies know how enterprise treats its suckers...uh i mean employees and loves to get them after they leave cause they are happy with almost situation). Good Luck |

I still have many good friends in the company (poor bastards), and none of us really "regret" having worked there - it is just sad how they turn over so many quality people these days. It seems like every time they are not growing as fast as they want to, they start firing people to persuade the Taylors they are making changes. It's BS, really. My advice: If you DO decide to interview and eventually work there, get to know some of the better people in the group. See if you can work in Amarr's or Rush's area, or maybe Dirk's city, and make friends with folks at corporate (pitt's regional HQ). I would advise against moving to any division besides Daily Rental, and simply get as much training and promotion as you possibly can in the first 2 years and then find another job. You'll be surprised just how easy it is to find another job in Pittsburgh with Enterprise on your resume. Best of luck to you! |
