because that place treats people like shit and they don't care about anyone. think about it, this isn't a site to promote enterprise or to praise them for all the "good" that they do for people, it's a site to bitch and complain and to show others what a miserable place it is and how they treat customers and their employees.

In Canada the MT is guarenteed $32,500/year. At first glance, this looks like ok pay for someone starting a career after graduating from university. But if you breakdown the numbers, it becomes so depressing that employees may start to think about suicides. (Like Dougy)!

Lets do a conservative breakdown based on the 52-week year, and working 52 hours per week.

regular pay - 40hrs X 52 wks = 2080 hrs/year X $10.50 = $21,840
overtime 1.5 - 8hrs X 52 wks = 416 hrs/year X $15.75 = $ 6,552
overtime 2.0 - 4hrs X 52 wks = 208 hrs/year X $21.00 = $ 4,368
-------------- ----------
2704 hrs/year $ 32,760

So, looking at the above numbers, if you worked at normal 40 hr work week, you would only be making $21,840/year. Did you spend 4-5 years in university and 10's of thousands of dollars in student loans to work in a job that would pay under $22,000/year if overtime is excluded?

All due respect, but I take extreme issue with this comment. I used to work for ECRAP as a Branch Manager and am very glad I am now gone.

In no way should BM's be considered "upper" management. As a BM you are actually just the lowest level of employee with any real responsibility. This means all the crap lands right in your lap since there is nowhere else to push it once it gets to you. Most BM's are not given anything approaching real authority over decisions - yet they're expected to produce results. Therefore, they certainly could not be deemed criminals.

The way ECRAP treats employees is a tragedy, but in most states, legal. Don't place blame with BM's that belongs with GM's / RVPs / The Taylors, etc.

true on all accounts with this job...you have those who bleeeed GREEN and think this is the best job in the world. Im not one of them, these are the people wwho have blinders on and don't want to see the real truth about this company. and those in upper management ar the smart ones, and the y know what they are doing, and i don't mean job wise. they got in when it was easy to get promoted when esqi meant nothing, and they are content and arent going anywhere unless they get fired...case in point Mike Gordon. then you havethese corporate asshole who run everything..i use the term run loosely, cause they dont do shit. ive worked in both rental and at corp office in one of the depts. cunningham was there like twice a week, and the same can be sd for a certain lady, and i again use that term loosely as well who runs a department, didnt know that a golf outfit was business attire? Ive seen t all in a short time with the company. And if you want to talk about disrespect look no futher that ALL assistant managers, they run the office so the manager can work the A/R list and go on sales call and get paid well while the assistant has to run all aspects of the office and stay late while the manager leaves early or come in late on a regular basis...wheres the justice, anyway i say this in closing, when you bleed green and kiss ass to everyone you can, whos gonna clean the blood up when they stab you in the back cause you didnt qualify joe smo and he totals the car, yet you have the area manager yelling at you to put the cars on the road? THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
