Enterprise=Enterhell

Just wanted to mention something...it's funny how walmart just went through a lawsuit with not giving their employees lunch breaks and overworking them and yet I worked for Enterprise for over 2 fucking years and can count on 2 hands how many times I was given a lunch break....Enterprise works their employees like crazy having them run around for hours at a time and never getting a break.. don't even think of asking for a break on mondays.... the busiest day of the week... you were lucky if your manager bought some pizzas for the entire office that you had to scarf a few pieces down in the office in front of the customers while you were in between rental contracts and picking up people from dealerships... it's bullshit! The other days when you didnt get to take a lunch and it wasnt supplied for you you couldnt wait to get home to eat dinner real quick (which was usually fast good on the way home) and then you were too tired to do anything else just to go to bed to wake up and go to that miserable hell hole again....

Another thing I wanted to mention is that most of the people that work for erac are alcoholics. that place drives you to drink! I'm not a drinker but I can't tell you how many times I came to work in the morning to see some of my coworkers stumbling in and smelling like alcohol, bragging about their drunken night before, and totally hungover... it's crazy! Yet, they were still required to go pickup customers or take them home...wow how safe is that!!
Then, they also promote office happy hours at times where everyone goes out and gets drunk together and then they drive home totally obliviated...but, if you get a dui you're fired... I'm sure the Taylor's would be extremely happy to know that my old office manager goes to clubs at night after work and gets drunk off of his ass and drives the company car home!

I recently quit enterprise and let me just say that the only thing it has taught me is how to better deal with assholes!! You were never respected and I got so tired of hearing people say..."So, is this what you do all day? Just drive around and pick people up?" uhm, No lady, I do have a degree and I am working on my MBA....gosh it was like a smack in the face!!

Enterprise is one of the worst companies ever to work for and I tell you what, I know that if I can put up with that shit for over two years any other companies I will work for in the future will be a piece of cake and will never be as bad as my working experience there....

Enterprise offices and employees are...understaffed, underappreciated, and completely underpaid.
The car preps make $7.00 an hour and the MT's start at what $9.00? There is really something wrong with this picture.

get your mba in some jackass major, ... who cares. yeah, the Big E sucks at first. you are right, ... no dobut. but think about it. think about your ARM's. most are dickheads. but the thing is, most are under 30 and making near six figures. ERAC is a time game. you have to realize if you really put your time in, and yes, i realize it's tough, it will pay off. there is the theory of throwing enough shit against the wall, ... some of it will stick. I do, however, believe ERAC does hire some REALLY talented people. the bad thing is we abuse the fuck out of them. stick it out. The mt/ma years are the worst of your career by far. if you can get past that, ... it's not a bad gig. think of what your assistants, managers and ARM does all day? the mt/ma are the whores. deal with it, move up the matrix and start of make some coin. it's there. everyone who quits is one less in the way. shut up, stick it out and make something of your life. all the people who quit are doing some dumb job working 40 hours. and for the person complaining about lunch???? come on. remember Wall Street? lunch is for the weak.

Most managers are under 30 because those that hit the age 40 seem to be let go for some reason and everyone older than that is smart enough not to work for erac...i've heard many assistants bitch that the ma's and mt's make more than they do and the branch manager probably only made 40-50,000 a year...thats not much...and it's funny how most people that quit and work some dumb job working 40 hours a week are making MORE than those at erac working fucking 50-60 hours a week and working much harder, upper management included... everyone needs a break and even dogs need to eat..why work 10-12 hours a day with no break and no fuel if you don't have to.....the branch managers are going nowhere because the ARM positions don't come around very often and the ARMs are going nowhere because unless Cunningham and Nettles die there's noway they're moving up.... it's funny how very high ups discussed that in training that ARMs are worthless because they do nothing and just want to stay at their positions making what $80,000 a year? I would think that they would be more concerned about the extremely high turnover and do something to keep some of the very hardworking people that they drive away... it's a shame that i've seen many hardworking people leave the company because they were so miserable...erac looks good on a resume because other companies know the shit that we deal with on a daily basis and know that if we can work for this miserable company we can deal with just about anything...
and lunch, i guess you're right.. you don't need to eat or take a break... just go to the bar and get drunk...seems to be the erac trend!

And yes the assistants, managers, and arms obviously do nothing all day because if they did the offices wouldn't be so miserable!

P.S. isnt is past your bedtime? I believe you have to get up early... your branches open at 7:30....

Whoever had a dream to one day rent cars for a living? Or do you mean the part about working 10-12 miserable hours and getting paid nearly nothing and having no social life except for the happy hours that some don't want to go to because either A. they're too tired or B. because they just worked with everyone all day and cannot wait to get home to get away from them.
Sorry, but there was no dream working there for me and the ones that I know that are still there or have left already!!

I agree ERAC sucks... there should be a lawsuit against them like there was with walmart and sams club for never giving people lunch breaks and making them work for 10 or more hours a day... they take advantage of young people and they don't care about you as an individual. to them you're just another body to do another deal...they work you to death and they already have a replacement for you before youre gone.

and as for the alcoholics... my office was nothing but drunks!
