So who is this poor bastard and where is he from? Do tell...and never fear, GP40 will break him before long. Dirk was a superstar in GP58 before he made the mistake of transferring to the 'burgh as a City Mgr, and he joined the ranks of "ex-eracers" not long ago.

Stan Polivka is pretty much fantastic. Just to address the one comment about him jacking up the numbers with any means and then leaving, I can say with complete certainty that you're full of shit. I'm positive you have never met him. He is honorable if nothing else. Stan was not handed anything here. His new city needed (and still needs) work. He's doing it the right way. Trust me, it's not in any way a perfect little job with no worries. I won't get into specifics but believe me, Stan if anything is MOTIVATED. Was he a city manager or an area manager in chicago?

Stan Polivka. Where should I start. Well, he certainly is not interested in meeting or getting to know any of his employees. During my tenure w/ ERAC (which ended a couple months ago) I think that I came in contact with him about 3 or 4 times. That's during about a years time folks. Real good way to lead by example. He must have been on "Sales Calls" with "Mr" Hutterer.... and by "Sales Calls" Of course I mean the nice little boat that "Mr" Hutterer has so aptly named> real cute guys. Once the upper management in GP40 realizes that life is not just one huge college fraternity keg party maybe they will be able to turn everything around. I personally do not see this happening. The only city manager worth his weight in GP40 is Dan. I feel so bad for that guy. He is the only one that really took any initiative to put forth a vested interest in the people that were working for Him. These other city "managers" are more interested in being unavailable and having their area "managers" run the show. The only unfortunate thing is that the show is running them. I am so glad to be out. I still keep in very close touch with the few friends I have left in GP40. Most either wised up and got out or were mysteriously terminated before they became fully vested in the 401k and profit sharing plan. (Hmmmm?) It is very humorous to hear the new stories of basic business ignorance that are seemingly never ending. Keep the entertainment coming guys. It never gets old.
