I heard when KL got her offer, KL got one also, only he turned it down, he worked out his 90 days and sued ERAC, there is a story that he is out on medical leave. So there is a problem either way, either he is suing ERAC and people are lying, or somone leaked some serious confidential information, because the story that the admin office is saying is that he has Crones disease, and if he did there would be a serious confidentiality issue, knowing KL I would not think he would want that out on the pavement if it was true, who wants there medical history put on the table by HR and the General Manager?

I also heard that he has crones. I dont really think its anything that is public knowledge. Its doesnt really make to much sense to me because, he took his leave because he tore his ACL or somethign like that, I heard he didnt come back because he was having trouble managing the pain. And I know he did indeed have surgery because I say the guy out with his leg cast on and all. On what grounds would he have a suit with enterprise though? Its to bad for him because were is the guy going to find a 200k a year job? Its not like you leave erac with an employable skill set, I hope he invested wisely, I didnt know the guy to well, so I dont have much of an opinion of him, but I hope things work out for him.

KL was fairly skilled, he had 3/4 of a law degree and was talked out of completing a law program at Cumberland school of law to start with ERAC, the guy has skills and connections all over town. From what I heard(hersay)the GM announced he had crones at a manager's meeting, and medical records should not be shared like that, I beleive there are some federal protections in that arena.

I believe but don't quote me that medical information like that is covered under the HIPAA laws.

So is it fair to say ERAC in in violation of the Federal HIPAA laws in the case of sharing KL's medical history?

Doesnt HIPAA only apply to say a doctors office, If KL told someone about his disease, and other people ran their mouth, really it comes back aroudn to KL for saying anything in the first place. It seems everyone is looking for a way to sue ERAC the best thing you can do it stop working there, and stop renting there.

No that's part of it but not all. When a friend of mine applied for a job his previous employer told the new place about his condition. He ended up sueing them and won, for 2 reasons. 1st in my state at least the only information an employer is only allowed to give is dates of employment and if you left voluntarily. They can't even say you were fired. 2nd the judge said that medical information shared with an employer is private and confidential. I talked to him tonight and he did tell me the judge ruled it as a HIPAA violation.

True if KL "ran his mouth" but if he was on FMLA leave and HR and the GM mouth did the "running" that is where there is a problem. This is only of light because there are many confidentiality issues in this group. Funny thing an HR admin person (hourly) once lost a stack of employee files when she took them home. The files included SS numbers, reviews, original apps etc. At first she was written up and given a verbal reprimand, when Chip found out his own file was one, she was instantly fired, it took two weeks to realize whos files were missing, How Ironic.

Group 43 is the place where Enteprise careers end. For the sake of anyone that is hired here or currently employed, can St Louis come in and do a sweep of upper management, it may not all be corrupt, but a fresh start may be in order.

Do you think corporate could clean up some old f*cks at group 07 in Orlando? That place is so corrupted with dishonest upper management that used you and drains your blood until they find new ones out of college to replace you. It’s almost like the cycle of service, but instead it’s called the cycle of branch offices.
