| The media also like to sensationalize a story like this and I am sure the producer of that telecast was motivated by the racial aspect of it. Who knows the real truth here. ERAC could be at fault and she could be making some things up. It could even be a shakedown. No matter what though, if she needed a ride, she should have got one. |

| Although it can't be proved, everyone, black or white, knows that she threw a bitchin' fit because in her mind her debit card "can be used as a credit card too". She didn't know the difference and the website says to call branch for specifics which she ignored because when all else fails, she knows she can play the race card. Which is the only reason that this story made the news I'm sure.... There needs to be a line drawn as ERAC employees are expected to bend over and take it, and this has conditioned customers to expect us to wipe there asses for them. You all know she stormed out when they didn't immediatly give her a ride back, probably because they were slammed, and she made the decision to walk home so that she could bitch about it later. Accountability, people. |

| I would say that even if the events did occur as reported, which I doubt as it's in the interest of the reporter to make it more interesting, the ERACian probably would be ashamed of themselves. However, what I would say is that having suffered in their employ for too long I can totally understand their reaction. Before having worked at ERAC I would have said that yes, she deserves to be treated like a human being etc..., agreeing with a lot of the posters above. But, this is taking it out of context. it was probably really busy, the phone was off the hook, they got bumped with this late internet reservation, and had struggled to get a car ready, probably cleaning it themselves in texas heat (as a brit I've never experienced this, but from what i can gather its pretty intolerable) and then they're faced with a customer who, if they rent to, they will get a mauling off the boss, and if they don't, will get a mauling off the customer. Between a rock and a heavily pregnant woman, they take the path of least resistance. Even the employee probably looks back and thinks they could have done more. I say, don't knock it till you've tried it.. My two cents anyway. I'm off out to indulge in that various british pastime of binge drinking, followed by a scrap |

damned if you do, damned if you don't. the problem with ERAC is they don't stand behind their employees...9/10 they side with the customer, which creates animosity with upper management |
