From 2004 to 2006 Gp 43 "lost" 4 City Managers, Keith Ledsome (a great guy), Kim Lego, Joe Racine & Austin Peterson.

Lost 8 Area Managers - with Mike Lawson being the only constant.

And every Branch Manager in Group 43 has been replaced !!!

Every Branch Manager in Area 3 wound up in car sales. The big titted Branch Manager at admin wound up as an HR trainer - what a plan - have hooters teaching others what she couldn't do herself. Some were fired - some quit - all are now happy.

Doug's the most obnoxious turd I've ever met. The whole fucking HR department from Polito to Brown to hooters is absolutely worthless - a constant stream of lies to the new MT's on becomming the next "rock star."

I'm not sure how Chip can get his head so far up his ass with Doug's head up there too.

The only thing more pathetic than 43's numbers and more surprising than 43's turnover rate is that Andy and Don Ross havn't replaced the Chipster.

I heard that Chip opened up A Group Truck Rental Manager position, this is a huge six figure opportunity, one many should be frothing at the mouth for. Only the only candidates in for the deal is GP43's own Lawson and Caviness, Is there anyone brave enough to make the move, this group must be doomed!!!!!

I doubt Lawson goes for it unless he is prodded into the position. He's got a pretty kush position in his Area. He's already making six figures basically running AP. Chip will probably go out of group to get 43's Truck GRM filled. It's probably not too bad of a gig to get either. Whoever gets the job can probably cherry-pick recruit many of group 43's "rental superstars" because the rental situation at 43 sucks so much.

Lawson and Caviness are the final two cadidates, only one person out of the group put and he got a position in another group. Group Truck Manager is 5 tiers above area manager, and would probably float a sweet guarantee while the operation starts up, with FLIP heading to the dumpster, what else is there. So who is the next area manager to turn, its been 30 days hasnt it?

Lawson ought to get it then. I've been out of the group 43 loop for a minute so I didn't even know he put in for it. He's done a great job at AP with ESQI and getting people promoted. The guy is nice and knows his stuff. I hope he does well with the Truck operation (if he gets it, of course).

I have also been out of the group for a while, but I heard that Lawson could be a shoe in for the position if Chip is willing to give it to him now that Gilmore quit. Lawson is probably the most qualified, but let's see if the Chipster can man up and give the right guy the promotion even though he now has to replace the Branch Manager and the Area Manager at the Airport during their busiest season. If Lawson doesn't get the truck GRM spot it will be the biggest SCREW JOB ever and we will all know Chippy and his ass sniffing dog "doggy c" are not in this gig for the people but for themselves.

why did Gilmore quit? He appeared to have a pretty sweet deal out there. I thought all at AP was on the up and up.

As far as Lawson goes, I agree. If he wants the job, he should get it. Let the man progress in his career. He's earned it.

Come on!! What are we talking about here. If there is one thing Group 43 is good at its stopping and killing the careers of anyone who works hard, has a brain and actually knows what they are doing. Chip and Pat would much rather walk the road travelled than the road less travelled and upset the apple cart. When you reach management in Group 43, the successory poster you need to have in your office is BOHICA. Bend over here it comes again. Good luck Mike Lawson, you do deserve it, but you know in the bottom of your heart you probably need to be prepared with a tube of KY if Chip and Pat have anything to do with it.

Truck rental - are you F'ing kidding - Lawson would be nuts to jump into that sinking ship. Who's he going to pick to help him run it ?? Hell - Mike's a great guy but he himself has no trucking experience - how's he going to run things - like the car side ??

Let's get something straight here - the truck rental side is nothing - and I mean NOTHING - like the car rental side. 2pm count - forget it. The insurance scam - HA ! Over-booking - forget it. Trying to pass a 15'er off as a 24'er - yeah right - the BM will find himself gettin an ass-whipping by the truckers waiting to pick up their unit.

News flash - Jiffy Lube can't do oil changes - you have to have DOT & FHWA inspections done by certified MP's - transport drivers need to have CDL's - MPs must also be brake certified - and maintenance work in Florida must meet FDOT compliance - MP's in Florida must also carry an ACORD Insur cert. Factor in perishable merchandise (ECRAP is only doing commercial rentals) - load swaps and non-union lumpers - and towing providers lotting and locking down a loaded customer's unit because they don't want to get stuck with an $800 tow-bill at 2 am because an account wasn't set up - Good Luck ECRAP.

If any of you don't know what I'm talking about - that's my point. The average age in the trucking industry is 38, and in management its 48 - this means the avg trucking employee is carrying 25 to 30 years experience - that's more experience than the average age of an ECRAP employee.
