I have come upon information of a city manager firing in group 43. I will not name names suffice to say it is a long time in coming. The skinny--- Apparently the rvp in group 43 was splitting the region into 3 cities instead of two. The rvp had been only going to hire two city managers (as there were 2 vacancies per my source) but decided to axe a long-term city manager because he liked a third candidate more than the one city manager he already had. Can you say loyalty? Even though the city manager who was fired deserved it in my opinion, I still point out how vicious this firing was. It's nice to see that Branch managers in group 43 aren't the only ones being screwed by managemant. This sounds like a hell of good way to let someone go. The only positive of this is that this person had it coming for all of the injustices that she inflicted upon so many other employees. As I have said before, sooner or later, we all have to look in the mirror. I wish I could have been that mirror on Wednesday morning. Good luck toady... I am sure you will need it.

But I disagree with you, KL was an awesome city manager, and when she left the whole city went down hill pretty fast. Way to go Chip, way to put that magic touch on it. |

I heard the plan was to get rid of Racine by the end of this month, and Peterson 90 days after that. Whats up with that. there is supposed to be some car sales changes too. Another Full round of GRMS, Jacksonville is like the turnover capital.

Why would they want to clean house again (removing JR/AP), starting all over wouldn't be the smartest thing... but wait we are talking about the BIG "e"! Has there been any news about any AMs getting the axe? Also how does management decide whether you get canned or if you get to make a lateral move (department wise) i.e. - rental to car sales......

You know it is kind of hilarious how Enterprise will ask someone to resign or quit and not give them any other options when they have been at or above corporate avg in all categories while others who are not performing as well are given options to transfer to other depts. I also think that is quite funny how they have replaced every branch manager in Area 3 since a CERTAIN GROUP RENTAL MANAGER AND A POOR DUMB GIRL FROM INDIANA CAME INTO POWER. What I find the most comical however is how ENTERPRISE can hire two managers to do the same work as one manager and pay them both less combined than what the previous manager was making. Supposedly this is done to get performance going in the right direction, or to create additional opportunities for growth; but if you ask me, it is completely against the FOUNDING VALUES that this company prides itself on.

The only value that exists in a company this size is for senior management to look out for themselves. Chip has had area managers go on a head hunt to his own demise several times. A good example is when he offed the former manager at 4356 in Ocala. The branch, the area all went down hill very fast. Doug is obviously the new, so he is here to stay for now. My understanding Racine and Peterson are soon to be out. When that happens a new regime will come and Doug will be old stale news and eventually turn over. The cycle repeats. Doug is not RVP material, In the competitive market for an RVP role, you need right climat, right policitcs, a breadth of knowlege, and tremendous talent. In this day and age and with all the law suits Enterprise has been hit with, being a minority would be helpful. Which reminds me about the great imbalance of diversity in Group 43, why is this? Does anyone know. I know they have made many visible attempts for diversity, and mentoring women, but not many women can make it to upper management. My understanding is the Loss Control Manager only landed her position, because the group was in dire need of another woman role mode, does this make sense? I would like to hear some other thoughts. I have worked in Group 43 for a few months, and am wondering if it time to move on.
