i spent an unfortunate amount of time at the big E(3 1/2 years) making my way up the corporate ladder. So i believe that i know a thing or two about what goes on behind the green curtain. About a month ago, the folks came out to visit and rented a car from enterprise. my dad did the walk around at 12am with poor lighting. nothing was wrong with the car. he drove the car from the airport to my house and back(roughly 40 miles total). And of course the windshield was cracked when he returned.
my father, being the genuine person that he is was prepared to pay for it. i asked a couple questions as they were filling out the DX report. Come to find that in the unit history a day or two before my dad got the car, there was a note that read "glass on the way." that caught my attention. So i asked to see the DX history...no previous DXs or OXs.
When the lady in lost control contacted my dad she said that the "chip" had been filled before my dad got the car, and that he was responsible for the damage. my question, would you fill a chip that was above eye level, or would you be required to replace the glass? if those work was done, why cant you provide a receit? and most importantly, if the work was already done, why then was there no report done?
They keep trying to get my dad to pay for the damage that was obviously there previous to his rental. he wont pay! lawson, frank and the boys at the airport need to be careful with this one. they tried to pull one over on the wrong man. dont let these come back to bite you!!

Glass claims for windshields can be filed with no deductible.
