I always loved the argument, "customers are sold CDW despite not needing it." By the same token, people are sold auto insurance, but they don't really need it. Just think of all the money you shell out each month for auto insurance. Let's say it's $100/month, which is $1200/year. After 10 years, you never have a claim, and you have spent $12,000, for what? It's all a gamble whether they will ever get in an accident and they can take the chance if they want. People get sold all the time on things that they "don't need." That is life, deal with it. If you don't want CDW, just say no. If you are too weak to say no to the overly aggressive mt, then that is too bad for you. It has its benefit and if you can justify it, then great.
