My most sincere apologies to you Mr/Ms Assistant Manager. In my previous post, I was referring to the lost and blinded MT. Every once in a while, a lost soul finds his/her way to the path of righteousness by passing the grill. The Grill. . .known to be the toughest interview one will ever have to face in their career. Let's see, you get 2 area managers that gang up on an MA for about 3-5 hours. Most of the time, they aren't even testing their knowledge, but more or less seeing if they can make him/her crack and maybe even cry. Don't cry, that's a sign of weakness, you don't pass!
I love these role plays that they put you through. You know, the one where they are playing a bodyshop owner who is calling you a worthless piece of shit and saying that you suck as a person. In this role play, you are supposed to appease this b/s owner and make sure you gain his business. All the while, you are forced to feel like a piece of shit. Well, that's what ERAC is all about. You are put into an environment where you are constantly put down by everyone. Customers put you down, your accounts put you down, management puts you down, oh yeah, your friends outside of ERAC (if you have anymore) are making fun of you renting rigs for a living) Is this the environment that makes you feel so passionate about working for?
Back to my point. That's right, you passed your grill and now you are an Ass Man. Congratulations! The reason why you are an ASS MAN is because your fellow compadres wised up and moved on to bigger and better things.
Now, I apologize that I made it sound as if you only make $9.65/hour. You are an Assistant now! Ok, average assistant managers make between $36k - $42k per year. Let's use $39k as a median value. You work an average of 55 hours per week. Let's see. . .that means you are making $14.77/hour including all of your overtime. Ok, let's see what other jobs out there are making $14/hour. . .
-grocery checkers make $16.50/hour and $24.25/hour on Sundays and when working over 40 hours
-A server at your local pub makes around $100 in tips in one night. Add in minimum wage, we are closer to about $17/hour
-remember that salesperson who sold you that cheap ass suit at the Men's Wherehouse. . .definitely is making more money that your pathetic salary.
I apologize. . .some people are passionate for their jobs that most can't understand. I guess you truly enjoy washing rigs and selling dammage waiver for a living.
love always
