Re: Any GP45ers out there? I understand some of you didnt like me and that is fine, funny all the harsh things said on here and that is fine also. Strange that you didnt say it to my face when you worked with me. I spent from age 22 on working for an upstart company that turned into a giant with 55000 employees and how many offices? Area managers when I started had 600-700 cars and were all making $110-$150K per year and were the real swinging dicks of the company. Yes, they rented cars, but they were truly in charge of their businesses. ERAC got bigger, got regional managers, ie Mia and the responsibility and size of fleets shrank. When I was promoted, $70-80K was the norm for a starting area manager, and that was good money...I didnt know what I would be subjected to behind the scenes and what I would be forced to sell to my accounts and employees to keep my job and position. I thought ERAC was all there was and really did believe the dream. One thing leads to another and you wake up one day realizing that all of your time and life for that matter is spent on or near the job. Your wife sees how unhappy you are and the next step requires a move to Ohio or Nebraska to make over $100 grand, wow. To set the record straight, Glass made his own decisions and built his resume by staying. He will make more money in the future by listing a management position on his resume rather than a trainee that quit his job. Funny comments honestly, laughing stock and all. My new life is happy, without too much drama, and all up to me. I wish you all well, whether we got along or not. Those are my thoughts, and this is a great site, bashing, poop, or whatever you all want to talk about. Oh yeah, and stop bashing on Matt, let me remind you that he made it to the upper managment level in a multi billion dollar corporation. Washing cars or dounut drops or whatever, he did what it took. When and if you make it higher in corporate America, you will understand and you will have people under you that bash on you. |
