for the purpose of my own shits and giggles, i remain to keep my identity anomynous. no offense, but once an identity gets revealed here, there tends to be a lot of unnecessary trash talking for no apparent reason. Look at what happened to Rock once she revealed her identity. People are calling her out on personal shit that is no ones business for everyone to read. I know I was well-liked, but I don't want some ass-hole who had some beef with me share it with a bunch of people i don't know. Besides, its kinda fun being able to say whatever the f**k you want and let people just wonder who you are. Some advice for you. . .I'm pretty sure that it has been discussed that you work at the airport. If that's the case, use this to you advantage. You get odd days off during the week, which makes this a great time for you to schedule interviews. Industries that I suggest are recruiting, banking, and mortgages. FYI on pharmaceuticals. It can be great money, but it is not the pipe dream people believe it to be. It is probably one of the most competitive industries out there and you are very disposable. I wish Rock the best of luck, but be warned that successful reps must be successfuly month in and month out. It's all about numbers and production. As soon as your numbers go into a downward spiral, you are a more disposable than "Assistant Mgr A4's" used tampon. Back to pharm reps, starting salaries are usually around a $45k base with company car and notebook. Bonuses within 1st year are between 15 - 30k. That means 1st year compensation could be $60k - $75k. Successful pharm reps dont usually start out with a top company their first time around. Typically, a pharm rep will get hired at a smaller named company to get their experience in the industry. Here's another variable that you have no control over. You may have great accounts with different doctors whom you have won relationships with and they will prescribe the drug you sell. Unfortunately, when the patient picks up his/her prescription the pharmacist will offer a generic $20 - $40 cheaper. Sometimes, they will just give you the generic without the patient having any say on it. Unfortunately, if you are deemed with this type of luck, your sales manager will not be as understanding as management at ERAC. As much as ERAC pressures sales, they are not going to fire you on lack of production. On the contrary, selling mortgages can potentially lead you to commissions of up to $30k per month. Some of these people have had less than 2 years experience. However, this market is being saturated with so many different brokers and lenders that you definitely need your niche if you want a piece of this pie. So ask yourself. What is important to you? Are you motivated by money? If that's the case, then you need to pursue a job in sales. However, with that, you probably won't have as much security as you would like. Maybe you might want to go back to school and be a teacher. Teachers on average make more than an average ERAC employee (2 years exp making $40k). They work a lot of hours, but let's be honest, we already can handle that. Plus. . .summer's off. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Anyways, do some soul searching and try to figure out what is important for you. Maybe you should tap into the porn indstry. . .I heard thats pretty cool, too.
