Mine have been pretty sad. About 3-500 dollars short of what I was promised. Per month!

It's different if you are a new manager. My branch had several corp accts that had about 30 vehicles on rent for the last 2 years. The businesses could no longer support renting vehicles and made some changes that were out of our control. Needless to say my commisions were based on the previous years income. Around 36,000 more per month with the accounts. I'm not located in a large economic growth area. It's not that easy to just find another 30 customers to rent yearly. Therefore ERAC should take a look at my avg for the last 6 months and adjust my pay plan accordingly. I don't have any control over large business decisions that other companies make.

Sorry, one more thing. They don't promise a set commision per month. They do now promise a set average commision. You have good and bad months but it should average out. In my case over a long period the average is about 300 less per month than what I was told.

That sux. Your ARM must be a huge cocksucker then. My first gig as a branch manager there was a corp account that had 45 cars out for the year with Boat and it was coming to an end right when I started out. The ARM took that into consideration and discounted that out before giving me my commision. Your group blows. __________________ "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt"-Abe Lincoln

Gosh, How insightful. I'll just shit out some more cars and go around to all the businesses in my town and tell them they need to look into renting them from me. If it were all that easy I wouldn't be trying to figure out why I'm still working at ERAC. It's not all about marketing. There has to be a need for a product in order for it to sell. You can't tell me that every branch experiences 7 - 10 % fleet growth every month and it never stops ever. There comes a time when you have saturated the market with your product and you have to wait for the market to catch up.

Hasn't Craig taught you anything? There is always a need and a market for rental cars. Even if you're in Mt Vernon, Bellingham, or wherever, there is always some dealership with loaner cars, some new corporate account to steal away from the competition, or some locals who never considered renting a car for 9.99 a day on the weekends rather than drive there old beat up pick 'em up truck. You just have to be tenacious and creative and have the desire to git r dun.
