Default Lunches and Clock Changes

I hardly ever get a lunch. That seems to be a common problem with ERAC.

Anybody know what the laws are?? I keep track of my lunches because I'm not hourly and don't know how to report this issue.

My manager says that its just part of the deal and my ARM said he blames me for not just leaving and taking a lunch.

Struggling with this issue>>>>

You will need to check your state labor laws to see about lunches. Most states say that a company does not have to give a break to employees. Breaks are optional.

most states require a 1/2 hour break for any shift over 5 hours. If you want to check your state laws check out this site

California is much different than the rest of the US. I know that in MD and NC there is no break required. I wouldn't use CA as a basis for the rest of the country.

And your link has 19 of the 50 states listed as well so I wouldn't say "most" but almost half. It's really a crapshoot and doesn't matter because people should get them anyways.

Sucks to be an assitant manager, doesn't it. If you complain about not getting a lunch, your chances of getting promoted go bye bye, and if you don't complain, then you don't get a lunch. By the way, are you in Alaska or northern Washington?

Since I still work at ERAC I won't divulge my location. Although I am quite fed up with the company at this point. I don't want to risk my employment until I get another job lined up.
