Where are all the GP 47 Haters? Come on out! Utah/So. Idaho-Ill just say its been AMAZING not working at Erac-and I still get a grin on my face driving by the dump they call a branch and seeing new trainees running around like idiots and the office that we were supposed to move from for the last 3 years. I've never been happier.

I worked in Utah for 3 years including the SLC airport. I KNOW there are pissed off overworked, underpaid employees in the SLC-I know 20-30 of them. I still have many friends at Erac-GP 47, but I have never been happier since getting out of that Circus. I still don't understand how so many good people work for them in SLC, but I know none of the good ones will stick around. I knew a guy that drove from Springville to the SLC airport for like 7 months-appx. 60 miles roundtrip through very heavy traffic for a whopping $9.50 an hour. What a joke. Fast food managers make that. Im Pissed that I spent 3 years there, and at the same time it has opened my eyes to how the majority of large companies treat their employees. But ERAC is extreme. They brainwash and promise the world. The crowning moment was when I was quitting and I got the "what are you doing this for" speech from my area manager and he said, "There are not many jobs that pay as well as we do." I didnt even know how to respond other than a sarcastic "Ill be OK-it will be tough, but Ill be OK." I now earn more money, work 15-20 fewer hours, and the most beautiful thing about my job is when customers come in, I actually HAVE what they WANTED in the first place. No more-"here's a minivan, you'll love the extra room." "This is all we have right now-Yours is on the way out." I'll probably to go Hell for all the lies I told customers to cover my green ass. To all you still working for this "Circus-Hell-Hole" GET OUT. Life DOES go on after ERAC. You can work to live instead of live to work. I always said that ERACS greatest strenth (high occupancy) is also their greatest weakness and that it would eventually convince people to rent elsewhere. What a concept-reserve a car-have a car when you land. HMMMM! Come on Rhett, Bill and all you other "Leaders." I have to say-I miss my friends and especially the 75 year old men and women who drive cars for the Big E. How does ERAC convince them that washing cars in 10 degrees and scrubbing bugs off windshields is part of their 7.00/hr job description. Oh-well, their spell is upon every one of us employees. Im just glad I wised up!

I'm friends with an area manager in Midvale. She's really cool and seems to enjoy her job. Been there for about 8 years now. I get hook ups when I go up there...which I'm doing in June :).

Oh, I agree. I pity the new employees ERAC lures in. All the empty promises they are fed. I remember the day I started being honest with my customers. When they arrived expecting to get their economy size vehicle and all I had were trucks and large SUVs, I would tell them it was my branch and area managers fault. I would then kindly give them their numbers so that the customers could voice their opinions to upper management. If a customer ever thought about purchasing a car from ERAC, I would tell them why buy an overpriced piecer? Tell them exactly how ERAC does not take care of their vehicles and will try to screw them on the price. This is not to say that there are not good people working for ERAC, there are tons. However, I have come to notice that a lot of the management are two faced liars. I hated lying through my teeth everyday to customers. Selling them products they didn't need knowing that I would never make any money off what I was selling, but would not have a job if I didn't sell and make the management more money. Working 50-70 hrs a week for such little pay? If that sounds like your kind of job, then please go to their website and apply. If you enjoy lying and such to people, then ERAC is your place!

Uhh...you're now realizing that erac employee's sleep with one another? Cynthia Washington is always sleeping with the guys in her branch(s), her husband Nate slept around with other employees too. Everyone sleeps with everyone in this company. Not sure how you want erac to be helpful though. It is a business, can't control who sleeps with who outside of work - thats the job of the spouses.
