Re: Any group 49'rs out there. Here is my ERAC horror story.... I worked for ERAC for about 10 months (I just quit w/in the last 2 month). I was fortunate to get placed at a really great office, and I actually am still close with most of the people I worked w/there. However, my co-workers were really the only positive aspect of my experience there & not to mention the only thing that kept me there for that long. When I first started, I bought into most of the bull that they feed everyone. I thought I was lucky to get a job with such a good company....If I only knew....One day, I went on a p/up & was in a car accident. I was stopped at a red light & was rear-ended, so the accident was obviously not my fault. The customer was taken to the hospital by ambulance & I ended up in the emergency room as well. Enterprise treated me like the accident was my fault. I called my bm right after the accident happenned, (crying hysterically), & he never asked if I was ok, his response..."Does the customer still need a car?".....are you kidding me? I should of quit at that point, but for some reason I stayed. I was only out of work for 3 days after the accident & never received any workers comp. or anything. I went back way before I should have, because I couldn't afford to miss any more days. When I came back to work, they gave me shit when I had to go to physical therapy for my injury from the accident I got while on the job. Just a couple of things.... Enterprise is really like a cult. Good luck having a life outside of work. There are a lot of A**holes that work there, there are also a lot of good people.....it takes some weeding out Enterprise rewards its employees w/booze & that pretty much is it.....the christmas party was fun....I did have a good time at most erac functions, but I could not pay my rent with beer If you're a woman & you work there, be preparred to have nasty morans hitting on you constantly....from service advisers, nasty customers, etc. to the idiot frat boy employees that work for ERAC......I would go home at night & feel horrible about myself......is this really why I went to college?? I'm out of the cult now.....I have a really great job w/ a company that I love, who treat their employees like they are valuable human beings, not just "bodies". My advice to current employees....there are better places to work and you deserve better. I don't regret my whole enterprise experience...I'm just glad to be out now. ~~ |
