Any group 49'rs out there.

just looking to touch base(anonymously of course) with any former/current group 49 employees. did 2 HORRENDOUS years which i will never get back. worked in the east and west(if i remember) correctly.

lets hear what you all got, especially if you had a problem with any of the following erac dinks:

black tootheed john bachner
michelle yelland(at least she was nice to look at)
jose whats his face
travis bassi(actually had a few good points)

or anyone else who simply pissed you off.

i've been out for a little bit now and would definitely like to hear from current employees with a chip on their shoulder.

Yeah I was there as well. 4908, 4922/23. I really hated the commute from home. Having to repo cars in NB was the worst.

last word i got was she was conveniently let go, got married to db and has 1 and one in the hopper

she and b.y. were my area mgrs. both seemed void of any real culture, ideas, or intellect but both seemed adequate at their jobs.

is b.y. still with the company? I was not a fan. nothing like some @#%$ telling you "you are too smart for your own good"

You know who was a great guy? Matty the driver at 21. ww2 vet, from e.p. hope he's doing ok.

the following were also pretty alright and deserve any success in or outside of erac:
-joe f. ex -18 mgr, was my boss and a great guy who was railroaded out the door due to his sister's serious illness.
-joe powers. another mgr I had. good guy.
-kenny (cant recall his last name). saw him at Neath's restaurant last winter. iirc he had just gotten married and bought a house.
-jim d...worked in accounting. good guy and until last week i lived about a block away from him.
-scott h. another good guy.
-danielle (sorry, don't remember last name). enthusiastic, hard working, really nice.
-jason...cant remember his last name or initials either but i believe he left to work for an ins co, was def a fast-track guy prior to that. drove a silver mitsubishi iirc.

Just about everyone else was either too insignificant to make much of an impression or I have nothing positive to say. I'm sure there are some exceptions, but aside from Pete the area mgr who was also railroaded, all of the level 3's and up can go @#%$ themselves.

I was there 10/1/01-11/02. I now run a few retail websites and do much better than I possibly could have at erac. I bust my ass and often work either late into the night or from home, but the skills I have learned are more easily transerrable (php, jscript, html, flash and other animation, .net, vb, working on SQL now etc, not to mention understanding search engine algorithms and changes, web-oriented marketing concepts etc). Plus I don't ruin a cashmere coat standing in the rain doing a dx for a cash qual cust from Central Falls ;)...

And I start grad school soon for a real mba.

I don't miss any aspect of erac. Not a single one. That girl in hr was kinda cute, though.

company. told yelland i was quitting and she called jf and he had me go to admin from new bedford and begged me to stay. by the way when i was there the city manager was a guy with a bald head and glasses. i can't remember his name? any old people remember?

Group 49 is the worst, most incestous group of them all. It's so small that every one is up everyone's ass, literally. I'm glad michelle got fired before i left. she was one obnoxious bitch. and she fucked j wyatt and her current hubby to get to ARM anyway. Travis needs to fix his jacked face and Bachner needs to stop his wife from licking down other women @ happy hours. And Jason the GM should stop cheating on his wife with strippers. I am so glad I quit that fuckin place and left Rhode Island. For all of you poor souls still working in 49, leave RI as soon as you quit. Take it from me. You'll see ERACers everywhere you go if you don't.
